I don’t know what all the whining is about. This app is perfect for the simple thing that it is. And all you people who have problems figuring out how to agree to terms and conditions, open your eyes, it’s so blatantly obvious: tap on the word “Agree” in the top left-hand corner. I love this app because I no longer need to use that security token that I bought while playing Final Fantasy XII. The old Security Token is not backlit and needs a decent light source in order to read the numbers displayed on the tiny little screen. With the app, the screen is backlit and the numbers are larger and easier to read. I downloaded this app when it first came out but just got around to actually registering it about 2 to 3 weeks ago. I’m so glad I’m no longer using the key fob security token. I wish I had registered it when I first downloaded it and tossed out that key fob.
Would love to see this app available on an Apple Watch. Follow the instructions associated with this app, an it’s flawless. No issues to report o7
Please add iPad support.
I was a bit worried at first because of all the low ratings. I’m glad I chose to give this a try though. Works good. This app does what it’s supposed to do. I haven’t come across any problems at all, so I’m giving this a 5 star rating. :)
Just a few suggestions seems very easy for people to get locked out of their accounts if not careful.
And a Watch app. So outdated In comparison to other Authenticators. Not to mention FFXIV is general is outdated.
So, basically the problem with security token that if you lost your phone or damaged. Besides from getting a new phone, there is no way to log in to the Square Enix account to get registration password to use the app if you only has a single phone per account. It is a terrible idea to make every log in related must enter one time password in order to continue. A damaged phone can’t be used, and how do someone going to access to their accounts if they can’t log in into their Account Management because of one time password required? The problem that customer support is not always available, especially weekends. Email can take 3 to 24 hours to answer. It really dull that not likely the customer support can assist just in one turn to something like this since they usually just throw copied Q/A and expect people do what actually instructed. It really circle around how you must log in your account in order to change something. Really stupid ideas, that said why would it possible to just send to registrated email for any recovery info if someone forgot or lost their passwords by incident. Think hackers can just take an registrated email that easily? I really disappointed how Square handling account recovery and password recovery. Security token is actually in that middle mess that can only be helped by customer support with “regular schedule” and long waiting responses.
Please add apple watch support, pretty please.
App is garbage. There is no back up functionality. There is also no mention of some kind of emergency restore code which is locked inside your account. Don’t use or you will risk loosing access to your account permanently. Can’t get ahold of customer service either. They fired everyone due to the pandemic which is outrageous because business is only going to increase for a game company during a pandemic.
