The app itself is ok. The problem is trying to cancel when you no longer need the app. I have emailed several times to cancel our subscription with no luck. Aggravating that the $7.95 keeps withdrawing monthly.
If it's not a free app, don't list it as free. It's misleading and a waste of my time. Consider a "lite" version, but it should NOT say "free".
This app doesn’t work. It continuously makes us log in and then says it can’t find my information. My kids haven’t been able to use this app since I purchased it. I’ve reached out to the company a dozen times and they just don’t respond. WASTE OF MONEY, do not recommend.
Can someone help me cancel my subscription, it shouldn’t be this difficult and it kind of seems purposeful to trap people into it. Rather it works or not if I don’t want to pay for it anymore I shouldn’t have to just through a bunch of hoops to cancel it.
I like the reading and math portion but there are too many videos in the music and book sections that distract child from focusing on the learning portion. If there was an option to limit the content I would give it five stars. As it is, I’m inclined to cancel the trial and delete app.
There is a complete lack of diversity. There’s plenty of “majority” representation, but very little for any marginalized groups. There are significantly more talking animals than people of color and the general “holiday” section is almost completely US based or Christian holidays. Only 2 holiday videos show any diversity, for hanukkah, but it’s clear watching them that they were written by a person who has never celebrated the holiday themselves. I emailed the customer service team and was told they’re “still working” on their commitment to diversity. Still working?? This app was released in 2013, if they haven’t figured out by now how to honor that “commitment” they aren’t even trying. I also asked if there was a way to opt out of the religious content, since it’s only focused on one religion, and was told no. We cancelled because I don’t give money to companies who only pretend to care about diversity and inclusion.
Applied for a 3 months trial and got confirmation but cannot use since the 4th day, just keep asking me to purchase it.
It’s extremely slow moving and repetitive. My son gets bored as it never seems to progress. I’m guessing all the levels in each subject need to be completed before anything can move on? He’s far too advanced for any of the extremely basic math or shapes but it won’t give us new lessons. Reading is at his level but spends far too long on the same topic/lesson to the point of frustration out of boredom. Can there not be different levels per topic? Or an option for a parent to speed ahead in certain areas?
We didn’t like this. We’d get to one spot and the microphone setting didn’t work and it never let us skip forward. Very complicated to navigate for me, can’t imagine what it’s like for my daughter. If it wasn’t for getting stuck on that one part I think it would’ve been fine. But so far I’m still on the hunt for a decent reading program!!
“Which triangle is red?” for 30 minutes? The lessons are extremely too long and frustrating. My kid ALREADY knows colors and shapes and letters uppercase and lowercase. I completed the protest of what my kid knows and is okay with - then was put with “which triangle is red?” for an entire 30 minutes. Needless to say, my kid got frustrated and screamed at the iPad “I already told you which triangle is red!!!! Ugh! This is so frustrating!!” Yeah. No go. And certainly don’t need to pay anyone $10/month to make my kid get frustrated. No thank you!!!!
