I have downloaded, deleted and re-downloaded for like five times tonight and it keeps on freezing. This is ridiculous!
The latest update won’t work 😩
I used to love this app but now after I finally went to go purchase an Appisode it froze up. Luckly did not take my money, but when I left the app and closed it out and went back in after restarting it, whatever I tapped on in the store said “This Content can not be Purchased at this time.” Then i left the app and went back in and about 85% of the appisodes in the store disappeared completely including the one i was trying to purchase. I left and went back again and again to maybe get them back and eventually it worked but i still got the “This Content Can Not Be Purchased at this time” window when ever I tapped something. Then I tried to turn off my device completely and they all disappeared again. Now i know that they’ll just tell me to contact Support but many other people have been having the same Problems as me if not then Vary Similar at least. And that would be a fine response if it was just a few people, but it sounds as if it’s happening all over. So contacting support is not good enough of a response anymore. They really need to Put out a major Bug Fix Update Already.
The app is very buggy. It’ll simply remove episodes semi-randomly, sometimes even after a couple hours, even though I have plenty of space on my ipad. When it works, my daughter enjoys it, but she gets frustrated when she can’t use it because, once again the app has removed all downloaded material. There is no control setting to modify when material is removed, so there’s nothing you can do to reduce or prevent the inconvenience.
I just downloaded Disney Appisodes for my four year old grandson, as Disney Now no longer works on his iPad. I had high hopes that he would be able to watch and play (not as passive as Disney now). I was more than willing to pay the monthly fee after the seven day trial period. He had the app for 30 minutes and it’s being deleted already. It just doesn’t work consistently. He was having fun when it worked but it didn’t respond properly so often that he said, “I don’t want to do this Gigi, I’m going to play with magnitiles.” I guess that explains my one star.
This app is really great but i can’t put up with the constant need to redownload episodes since my daughter keeps trying to load new ones. There needs to be a “Downloaded” section instead of being mixed with each other or at least a parental code instead of ok or cancel a download. It seems to hold more on my iPhone than our iPad tablet (even though I keep deleting apps to make space) and not more than 4 videos stay loaded. The purpose of subscribing was so she could play on the iPad while we r on long trips and it’s just unfortunate that if we r without signal and she tries loading new things, somehow, she loses all videos and can’t play anything. Idk why it happens but I already canceled the subscription after 2.5 weeks and won’t renew unless I hear about a major update.

My kids love this app, and in theory it’s a fantastic idea. They can play in all their favorite episodes of their favorite shows! Except for one thing...it only works about 25% of the time. My kids will select an apposide, play it for a while, and have it freeze mid action in one of the interactive parts. It won’t move on once the task is completed. The other issue, it that in the main screen, you can select an appisode, hear the sound it makes when you touch it, then nothing opens! It never leaves the main screen! It DOESN’T open the appisode MUCH more than it does. I’ve tried everything to rectify this myself, I’ve tried 4 different devices, I’ve restarted each device, completely closed and restarted the app, and deleted and reinstalled the app (on all the devices). It still doesn’t work right. And apparently, reading these reviews, this is an ongoing problem that Disney has no intention of fixing. My kids will be sad because they loved it on the occasion it worked, but I may be canceling our subscription. I won’t continue to pay for something that rarely works.
At first this was a decent but slightly expensive app but with the new model of subscription only exclusives it’s not worth it. Second for what ever reason after the new update I can’t even get it to download on fully on my phone, it’s just stays halfway loaded and we haven’t been able to use it since.
This used to work fine, but over the past couple of months my kids haven’t been able to use it. At this point, if I try to restore purchases it always tells me I can’t do so while downloading an appisode. The only thing is I’M NOT DOWLOADING ANYTHING. I haven’t been able download anything. I’ve even tried removing the app and re-installing it and nothing works. Waste of time, waste of money. Update: after about 5 months, the app appears to be fixed, and the appisodes have finally become downloadable. Fingers crossed that it stays up and running, because my kids really do enjoy it when it works!
