I love this app, its interface and the beautiful photos. I have over a thousand recipes stored and organized. I like organization and being able to find recipes quickly. I updated the app 2 days ago and now I have to sign in every time I open it. This is inconvenient. Why do I have to do this?
I liked the app better when i saw recipes only, NOT photos of chefs.
Sure isn’t what it started out as. Half my recipes don’t come up with pictures and in the middle of reading them they disappear. No I don’t want to pay 5.00 a month for a upgrade.
Yummly never lets us down!
App is nice for pulling recipes from different sources, but the lack of navigation makes it pretty useless when a Google search does the same thing.
I love Yummly, and would’ve easily rated it 5 stars, but this latest update is just terrible. The UI changes are great, but so much now is locked behind a subscription. Many people use the app for free as it’s the best free recipes app there is. But putting things behind paywalls can drastically reduce the number of people who use this app. Nutrition information should not be locked behind a subscription. i’m perfectly fine and agreeable with having certain recipes (i.e. pro recipes) behind a subscription, but nutrition information is crossing a line. Edit: Okay after checking my Yummed recipes, I’ve seen that recipes that were free are now locked. This isn’t even a few recipes, its a majority of them.
Why do all these apps make you jump through all these hoops and make an account before telling you it costs money? NOTHING about costs in their info page.
This is the best food app ever! I use it daily. I also use AnyList to transfer and store recipes. Its cumbersome because one has to paste the steps into AnyList. I wish Yummly would fix that. Also when they solicit emails, the links to the dishes never work. So why waste time sending something that can’t be linked? Otherwise I really love Yummly but I wish they would fix these things in their app.
I am using this on my ipad and find it is very hard to navigate. I have downloaded the application but need to sign in EVERY time. Can’t send the grocery list to my iPhone. Recipes look good - but hard to use.
I can always find a recipe that suits my needs. So many great choices. Format makes it easy to find one quickly.
