Newest update: The new version is so terrible. It’s hard to move to his current level we are on from using the at home boxed set. How do we match up where we are at on the boxed set to this current version of the app? It’s so confusing to figure out where we are at, his progress, etc. This has completely undermined the value of our lifetime purchase and $200 we spent on the program because it doesn’t match up well at all, it isn’t complementing what we already have or where we are at. The old version MADE SENSE, it was clear and user friendly. This one doesn’t make sense and I’m okay with apps changing and being revamped, but I’m dying to have the old app back. It feels so random now when it comes to using the boxed set along with this app. How do we match up the app with the level 5 workbook? Update: Now has deleted all of his progress and his user entirely. We liked this app in the past, but we just picked up doing it again and it keeps glitching then losing our son’s progress. To where he suddenly has to try again to unlock each thing just to get to where he was. It’s sucking the joy out of his hard work having to do this and then it just glitches and goes even FURTHER back in levels. So he loses his stars and accomplishments from level 4 on. He was so motivated and enthusiastic to complete his goal today and kept trying even when it glitched and meant he had to go over things that were easy for him again, but after it sent him back to level 4 I just told him to wait until it can get fixed. This is his week off of school and he’s doing fantastic on his reading and so excited, it will be sad if this can’t be resolved ASAP and he can’t do it the rest of the week. It’s only Tuesday. 🤦‍♀️ This was expensive and I see from other reviews it was happening in September as well. It apparently hasn’t been fixed and it’s now nearing the end of November.

We are hooked

This has been informative for my daughter and areas she can improve in her reading and language art.

Awful execution

I have never been able to successfully login to this app, &/or remain logged in. It was continuously asking me to sign-up even though I already had a paid subscription. I have deleted, redownloaded, & asked how to fix the problem — without success! A complete waste of my money.

Needs to work out some kinks

It’s a good app but there’s definitely a lot of room for improvement. I really wish “aw” would be added to it because my son really struggled with “aw” words (saw, jaw) when we were doing sight words without the app. I wish you had to make the kids speak the words before they moved on. Because he can just click right through them. So I really have to be right on top of him when he’s doing this otherwise he’s not getting anything out of it. If my Spanish app requires me to say things in Spanish before I move on then there’s no reason why it can’t be on this app too. It’s an okay app. Just really needs a bit more tlc.

Not good

I have an 8 year old boy and it didn’t hold his attention. If I don’t sit with him he skips through the exercises and the app will let him move on. I’m trying to unsubscribe my payments but it won’t let me. Waste of money. Don’t bother. The school can offer free ones.

Very good program but App has some bugs

My daughter learned to read in just a few months using the App which I am very happy about. She’s done with all the lessons and all the bonus books but the App did not record that she has done all the lessons so she cannot open the rewards and she’s not happy about that.

Portly made login

I purchased this program to help my son start to learn to read well I got it setup and got into the app on my phone but for some reason it won’t let me login my account on my desktop I am very disappointed in the way this is setup and if it doesn’t get fixed soon I will get a refund I didn’t pay money to not be able to login on my computer and use the program poorly made login for sure

I had to give a star but really no stars

I taught two children to read using the older version. this new version is horrible. The upload is too slow to keep the attention of the children. I have given it some time and still cannot identify a path or how to determine when you have completed an area. They have sections but those have not as helpful as the outline path of the previous version. I realize there may be some aversion to change. But I am pretty adaptable if the change is greater than what was. This is all over the place and is taking longer for the children to learn to read. No stars.

Fun but customer service lacking.

My daughter enjoys this. She is able to confidently read the books, there’s no annoying music during the books to distract her which is great unlike a lot of programs. She is able to project herself more confidently now. However we had an issue with a password, some system error, I called to have it resolved and the guy on the phone was really just plain rude. I could practically hear him rolling his eyes through the phone.
