Introducing the Democrat and Chronicle Print Edition app, where subscribers can read the Democrat and Chronicle on an iPad with all the stories, photos and ads shown just as it appears in print. Subscribers can use their current account login to access current and back issues.
We enjoy being able to read the paper at the same time. One with the actual printed paper delivered daily and I with the electronic version on my iPad.
I like this app. I don’t miss playing hide and go seek with my printed newspaper every morning. Our delivery person apparently was unable to get our paper even remotely near my front door.
I like using the app to read the news, however, it locks up and closes more than I think is acceptable.
A great local newspaper from my former home town which keeps me informed and up to date on happenings in Rochester!
Content aside, I like the way the app mimics the actual newspaper page. Getting the USA Today national news bonus is great given the more local focus of the D&C. Occasionally the wrong edition loads, usually yesterday’s USA Today, which s just an annoyance assuming the reader has basic navigation skills. My biggest wish is an easy way to jump back and forth to the other display style, which I occasionally use but have to log into separately, and I never remember my credentials!
Need less national commentary mixed with local news. Keep up what you’re doing. The “front page” headlines about a tasteless homeowner is not worthy of that position in your paper. Double check rendering of content in your app - especially iPad. Formatting and punctuation often make content illegible. And keep on making Rochester a ‘better place’. A place that welcomes a balanced community of caring people, growing ethical businesses, and gov’t officials who are elected by knowledgeable voters.
I can access my account everywhere I go!
I enjoy this every morning
Too bad the D&C is far left of moderate. I see lots of stuff repeatedly about bad guys and how they are mistreated and have streets named after them and relatively little about the good things real Americans are doing for our poor, our elderly, our veterans who are trying to keep us free, save our young, save lives. But then again, the good stuff doesn’t sell papers.
Located over 60 miles away. Always on time. Used for several years on IPad.
