My only real complaint is regarding functionality when Garmin web services are down. I understand many of the metrics are done at the server level, but at minimum the app should download the data from watch and store until later time when web services are restored. Right now if web services go down the app is useless and you cannot even see tracking data like activities. Even without the server analysis the app should be able to store and show the raw data.
I like this app a lot. I have a Garmin watch and the two work very well together. Only a could of small hiccups in the year I’ve been using it. I has a ton of data you can analyze, but I’m still learning how to interpret everything. Just recently started using one of the Garmin Coach training plans, which has been very motivating.
I have had the Garmin Connect 3 arch since it was released. It is amazing, stylish (after market wristband), accurate and has various goals and activities to help me stay motivated. I love competing with other Garmin community members is various challenges through the Garmin app! I am also appreciative every time I earn a new badge from the workout points / fitness tracker!
I am mostly happy with the app’s ability to track what I do. What is absolutely horrid about the app is when I workout it doesn’t accurately record all the exercises. What’s worse is that when I try to edit the workout after the fact, it constantly is unable to save the changes I made. If you’re working out and want to accurately track your exercises this is not the right app for it. I suggest trying Fitbod, it will actively track by exercise, build workouts for you, and show you how to do them.
No way to connect my device without entering code
Easy to use!
I am relatively new to such apps but this does everything that I wish it to. I do not use all of its functionality so I suspect I would be even more pleased if I did. Quite pleased!! 😃😃😃
Even when you select “just when using app”? Have to go back in and select “never” to turn location services off. And the reselect “just when using app”. Pain in the .... huge battery waster. Is this by design so Garmin always knows where you are located? Hmmm.
Nice app to keep all my workouts tracked, and the app is now improved, nice to see that.
Great product but it’s finicky at times
