Access to digital magazines stopped after a few issues with over a year left on paid subscription. Reloaded app to no avail. Customer service elevated issue internally after recommended fix didn’t work. Problem resolved within hours of elevating issue. Updated review from 1 star to 4. Content still gets a 5.
Was locked out of in fisherman magazine after version 2.0.4. Called customer service twice and sent email to get help. As stated problem would be resolved with in 48 hours. It has now been a month and no one from customer service has gotten back to me. Yesterday I switched from digital to snail mail magazine. In fisherman magazine is best fishing magazine I have found. Customer service and digital magazine is awful.
My In-Fisherman subscription is paid until 2020. Recent upgrades to the app now prevents me from reading articles on my IPhone. I’ve followed the instructions still I am not able to get in. I called the (800) number and the women could not resolve the problem. The bigger problem is that I could not understand her broken English. I want a full refund. Signed Frustrated Subscriber
Version 2.0 is out it works fine on iPhone now, not just iPad. I signed up today, was reading some online article on the website and got a super cheap offer for a digital subscription. Within minutes I was reading the latest edition and it looks just like a magazine. Plus and minus It does keep the same formatting as the magazine so I can’t change the font size, but I can zoom in fine so even though it’s a little tight on the little screen of my SE, it works fine enough. But on the plus side it does look very ascetically pleasing. Only issue I’ve had is (and it may be there and missed it) I can’t find how to download the magazine for offline viewing and the office I have the most downtime at doesn’t have much cell reception but that’s not a huge issue I mean I have LTE at all but the most remote of my fishing spots, dead spots like mine are becoming a historical issue.
Paid $11.99 for a year subscription but this app doesn’t recognize that so basically I wasted $11.99.
Like other reviews, I still do not have full access to the content despite purchasing my subscription two weeks ago. Support is equally frustrating as they dismiss the inadequacy of their digital mag app. In Fisherman has phenomenal content and one of the best TV shows. Expected far better from them with this app.
So I did this app and the regular In-Fisherman Panfish app. I then had to create an account, so fair. But I apparently need to create another account because app 2 won’t recognize the account created in app 1 but when you go to create the second account it takes you to a screen that recognizes the account from app 2. You still not able to login on app 2 because the app doesn’t recognize the account from app 1 (unless you try to create a second account). Sound frustrating?
Agree with other reviewer’s comments. Don’t waste your $ getting digital version since it doesn’t work on either iPhone or iPad! What makes it even worse is that they do not have anyway to contact customer service either by phone or email to get help! I set up Account info and it shows me that I’ve signed in yet it locks me out of all content beyond the Table of Contents. Buyer Beware! Would give it 0 Stars if I could!
Great app when you can access your subscription. Purchased the dual subscription and can’t read the latest magazine on my iPad. Thanks for letting me pay for nothing. Do not do the dual subscription. You will get you money stolen.
First of all, let me be clear that this is not an Apple, ITunes, App Store issue or even about the magazine. InFisherman magazine is and always has been a great publication... I have been a reader for many years. However, after purchasing a dual (print and digital) two year subscription in April 2017, I only was able to access one issue digitally before access was turned off, asking me to purchase again. After repeated attempts at resolution thru customer service (Intermedia Outdoors), I still have no access... it is now late July. They were able to explain the issue was on their side and issued a service ticket to their engineering dept. However to no resolution still. It has been well over a month since my first inquiry... surely this is enough time to resolve a simple access issue. My purchase was made directly with Intermedia Outdoors thru the InFisherman website, not iTunes or the App Store.
