The Des Moines Register is now on the iPad! Introducing The Des Moines Register Print Edition app, where subscribers can read The Des Moines Register on an iPad with all the stories, photos and ads shown just as it appears in print. Subscribers can use their current account login to access current and back issues.
A left-wing rag suitable only for lining your birdcage.
Every few days I get the run around on having to prove I have a subscription. Sick of it
Can not get this app to move from one or two pages. It’s also so small, when you pinch it larger, it won’t move. I’m about to give up on the Register, from missed deliveries to $70 subscription price. I hope it’s not going down the same route as CNN!
I continue to get error downloading edition database messages. It has been doing this off and on for the past few months. I deleted the app and reinstalled it just to get the same message. I’m getting tired of paying for a digital subscription I can’t use half the time.
I have given up on this app which is a shame because I want to support print journalism. Why, oh why, does the screen hop all over the place. It’s impossible to scroll down because it hops all over before I can read the articles. Do you load different parts of the story at once or are they delayed? Hop, hop, hop.
Soooooo much wasted potential!can not tell if it is ignorance, laziness or incompetence. This app just keeps getting worse. Is it really the best that Gannett can do? Scary if it is. I want so much to like this app, but in all the years they have had it, it has never become a quality app. Wish I could say something good about it.
Even if you have an account you can't get access. Try to log in and it tells your account is associated with this but it won't let you see the pages.
I cannot find any way to contact the developers to report this issue, so I will try here. The editions page is just a blank screen with the letter "a" on it.
Never actually worked. You put in an email address and basic info but can't log in. It really is the worst app I've seen in a while!
Bad to sell something that does not work.
