On the return drive from Hana, we’ll point out the not to be missed stops again as well as tell you stories about Hawaii’s fascinating history and rich culture. Please note Highway #31 ‘backside route’ is not recommended for driving. Rental car insurance void. Road can be closed for repairs, mudslides and flash floods. Really enjoyed the app on on drive to Hana. Very, very informative. The narrator, who my wife named Andy App, was fantastic. We thoroughly enjoyed the directions and history. Well worth 7 bucks! Great job on the tech parts of the app also. Worked very well.
Can’t fault this at all. The road to Hana described amazingly well, as you drive, with everything timed perfectly so you know when and where to turn. On the way back there is a fascinating description of Hawaiian history. Thanks for making such a great guide!
This app was wonderful to use with all the stops given well in advance. As suggested we took the little drive to Nahiku on the way. App said to park at the church to walk. Once we got there we were harassed by the locals saying this is public property. They even have illegal sign posted on public road saying “local traffic only”. Drove down the road 15 mins for nothing. They wouldn’t even let me park off the easement on public road.
We used this app today to drive the Road to Hana. It was so informative (and funny). Very well done. Thank you!
Wow! Wow! Wow! The accuracy is amazing. We felt like we had a new friend driving along with us. It was the best part of our trip. So thankful we found this app. The GPS capability was fantastic. It is worth way more than $6.99.
We named the voice, “Steve”. Steve is such a great company during the drive. So helpful and educational. Thank you Steve! 👍👍👍
Loved the app, thanks for recommending it, best tour guide ever. Must have app if you are exploring road to Hana. It works even in no cell phone coverage areas. My kids usually hate anything other than loud music but they loved it after listening few minutes and wanted to listen until the end. Thanks again
Definitely worth the few dollars you pay. The trip was so much more enjoyable having the thorough commentary and explanations of the things we passed on the way to Hana! If the road to Hana is one of the things your doing on your vacation in Hawaii you must download this app to go along with he drive!
My title pretty much sums it up. There’s no internet (cellular) service on the road to Hana. I read guide books voraciously and this was the hands free version of that experience. My friend and I enjoyed the pointers on the way to Hana (and beyond) and appreciated the historical accounts of the Hawaiian people on the return drive. We especially appreciated the latter since it got very dark and the all the history helped keep what would have been a tough and unrewarding drive relatively interesting.
This handy little app made our Road to Hana trip so enjoyable AND relaxing! The info and the time table were on point. We were able to relax while soaking up all there is to see(and there is so much to see!) Definitely worth every penny. Can't wait to go on another road trip with Gypsy Guide!!
