Mostly it works great which is good because if you do have a glitch don’t expect their completely useless “customer service” to help. I can’t get an answer to a simple question because their bots, or preterm stoners in a basement somewhere or whatever it is masquerading as customer service can’t read questions and just speed out the same unrelated garbage over and over. And no phone number that I could find. So if you actually use this for work don’t count on a fast fix when you need one.
I hadn’t used the app in awhile and wanted to again, and I had previously purchased the full version. I’m now being prompted to pay again, and can’t get into the app to even see my existing recordings or make new ones, and the “restore” button isn’t doing anything. Please fix this :-/
Very first and very best app I purchased for my iPhone! Records incoming and outgoing calls with a simple push of the big red button. The only flaw is that you have to remember to merge the calls manually; I wish I could sense when both parties were connected and merge automatically. Sound quality is superb. Easily name the file. Share recordings with others. Are use this for two reasons: so I don't miss details about clients' projects, and also as a back up for dealing with customer service idiots. It is so easy to misspell an email address one of the best uses is to be able to listen to it again. Fantastic app – well worth the $10 I spent on it, and even worth 10 times that much. Update: Type a call keeps improving their service by configuring the interface for an even better user experience, and by adding new features such as transcription (which I can’t wait to try!). And it’s still only $10 several years after I first signed up.

The previous version was waaaaaay better than the “upgrade”. Now I have to look at the “transcribe” button. I will not pay to transcribe so take that banner down. Also what’s deal with toggling back and forth to listen to recordings?? This is where they’ve downgraded. The previous version had you control the recording while still viewing your other recordings. Meaning if I want to jump from one recording to the other it was all right there on the SAME screen!! Total waste of time.
I can’t put the same person on hold everytime they call!!
I was surprised to see in this most recent release that the beep tone option no longer has a toggle switch in order to enable or disable beep tones. This leaves the customer with fewer freedoms over this app. Beep tones mean that people will be guarded in what they say when you are communicating with them. And I’m talking about recordings for personal records and not public, legal, or court admissible consumption. Bad move on the developers part.
Really good app especially if your getting harassed
I have been using this app happily for close to 2 years. Since a coupe of months ago, I have not been able to record a call! I get the annoying “Recording unavailable” message when I try to set up a recording. Website says it’s because their system “does not recognize my number” however, my number is the same as always. How can I see the number they are getting to try to fix it? Why has this changed? No big options in website to get support. When the app worked, it worked perfectly. It’s a shame I am now wasting my subscription! Someone please help!
