When you're on a call and you want to record it, open TapeACall and press the record button. We will put your call on hold and dial our recording line. As soon as our line answers tap the merge button on your screen to create a 3 way call between your other caller and our recording line. If you want to record an outgoing call, just press the record button. The app will dial our recording line and will begin recording as soon as our line answers. Disappointed

As an investigator, tools like this are very helpful…. Unfortunately this one hasn’t been. If I’m doing an in person interview it works fine in memo mode, but with outgoing calls I’ve found I can’t always trust it to record and I have never gotten it to work on incoming calls. I’m still having to use a separate micro-recorder! Sorry. Developer response is not good enough. My carrier (T-Mobile) has no such problems as not allowing 3 way calling.

Great app

I love the app the only problem was a bad one. A fee times my access number started to fail and I didn’t have the app when I needed it. However the number I’m using now has been working for a few months and I’m hoping it will stay functional because when it works its an awesome app to have.

Forcing me to subscribe to use app

I already bought the app and have been using it for a long time now, and now I it’s trying to make me subscribe to the app to continue to use it. Every recording I have kept for court is now gone and I can’t even use the app I paid for!

Won't allow me to connect to the people I'm trying to record. It just loses connection now, so I'm not getting what I paid for.

Works most of the time but not every time

I’ve had many calls where I try to merge the TapeACall to my current call and it just never connects. Many important calls were not able to be recorded.

STOP WITH UPDATES

UPDATE: My issue was resolved with the help of the dev team. I was able to continue using the app which I love and can’t live without and freak out every time there is an issue with it. Again giving it 5 stars, because this app really deserves it. I have been a loyal subscriber for several years and this app has become an essential service for me on daily basis. STOP WITH UPDATES THAT RENDER YOUR APP WORTHLESS. I am a paid subscriber to this service. It used to be the best, but for the last few months every time I try to call, the app doesn’t respond - all buttons are grayed out and if you have a contact with more than one number, the app doesn’t allow you to select which number you’re calling - the only work around is to create a new contact with only one number. After being unable to use the app, I thought maybe updating it would do the trick - MUCH WORSE, now it doesn’t even start. I can’t even access my previous recordings.

BEWARE

Pretty sad you have to pay $10.99 just to download this app, thinking it is a one-time charge. IT’S NOT! Once downloaded, in order to even use this app, you have to pay a monthly subscription on top of the price you pay just to download it. I am disgusted, what a rip off.
