This is exactly what I was looking for now that the iOS widget seems to be working well and I learned that defining tasks to recur every 24 hours instead of daily makes them work the way I want even if I complete them a little after midnight. I define some tasks to complete in the morning and some for later in the day, and the widget lets me easily see if I have completed the morning ones without having to open the app. When I complete a “daily” task after midnight, I want it to repeat at the next time it is due, not over 24 hours later, and defining them to repeat every 24 hours does that.
The Home Screen widget keeps breaking, asking me to log in. But otherwise, wonderful to-do app!
I have tried almost every to do task app. This one is great, it makes organizing tasks easy. I love the re-occurring feature (ex. just type “weekly”, “yearly”, etc).
It has a great foundation, but it is missing crucial things like organizations of subtasks and how they appear on the daily schedule. You cannot build any kind of repetitive routine or even track water intake without filling up your daily list with sub tasks. Issues like this have been brought up by customers online for a LONG time, and there has been no improvement or solutions.
Most of the important controls and shortcuts are on the right. With larger phones like the various Pro Maxes, it is impossible for most people who hold phones with their left-hand to reach even the middle of the right edge. For an app that pretends to make it fast to add items, this is really bad. And the fix is likely not a ton of code as you are just mirroring the layout. Kind of like picking float-left over float-right in css. It feels rather discriminatory (but I don’t expect much from this company as left-handedness is neither a “disability” nor a “protected class” “in the US” - the only two things that these tech companies ever look into)
I’ve had issues with most apps I’ve gotten but this one is a notable exception to the rule. Easy to use, easy to organize, easy to prioritize and rearrange, and everything about it is easy and intuitive. My productivity has actually increased simply by organizing the things I need to do and this app is absolutely outstanding for that. Kudos to the design team. I highly recommend this.
This is absolutely amazing and so worth downloading!!!!! I’m not even exaggerating, this has helped me organize literally my life and even keep different parts of my life separate like for example work, personal, trip planning, goals and whatever you can think of. You can literally organize anything and everything with this app. I tell everyone about this app because I truly think everyone should get it, I mean at this point I see it as a tool that you should just have already. you can use it for simple things like chores, shopping lists, idea lists and big complex stuff like work, big projects and planning trips. One of my projects is “work” and let me tell you, since I found this tool I’ve been able to organize EVERYTHING and it is a game changer. My job already uses something similar called Hotsos but I genuinely believe this is way better and easier to use!!!!!! (I use this over Hotsos) Plus I feel like this has a lot more to offer then what my job uses. I also read some of the other reviews and it sounds like this tops A LOT (if not all) of the other apps out there and I believe it! I have almost 300 tasks in that project alone which is very generous for what you get for just having the app (which is free) and the premium isn’t even expensive in my opinion which I will definitely get if/when that time comes. I love that they let you get to use the app and get a feel for it rather then like a trial or only give you a small amount to use before getting the upgrade (which this one isn’t even expensive actually and totally worth it in my opinion. Plus I hate it when apps give you the bare minimum making you chose to get it or look for something else) I love that you can have sections in a project and tasks in those sections, I love that you can have sub-tasks in those tasks and sub-task in those sub-tasks (I feel like the Dean from the show Community in that episode where he was creating worlds within worlds on his new VR system). I also love that you can add comments, pictures, and videos to everything. I love that you can prioritize things and set due dates when you want. I love that you can make routines and how flexible you can make them reoccur like for example you can set it so it reoccurs “every two weeks” and “every third Thursday” or “every 45 days” like you can make it happen however you want. I love that you can customize the layout and look to best suit your projects. I love that you can use filters to sort out stuff however you want. I love that you can share projects and everyone in that project can edit and add stuff, check things off and complete them and assign tasks to specific people to help organize everything. I love that you can label stuff which makes it easier to sort ( for example “shopping list” label stuff based off of #cold foods, #pantry foods, #miscellaneous and then when your ready to hit the store you can sort it so all the cold foods can be the last thing to grab to keep it cold longer or even assign people in your group to gather specific “labeled items” to cut shopping time down. I mean you can literally do anything. Your imagination is literally the limit with this tool!!! I can’t think of a bad thing about this tool and honestly excited to see what other features they come up with (if any cause this is already pretty much everything you could ever need) way to go for making a super easy and massively flexible tool (I say tool cause it has earned that title). I just felt that as someone who never ever rates or reviews stuff, this tool needs to be recognized for its amazing and useful purpose!! 👏🏼👏🏼
Doesn’t support start dates. Look elsewhere for GTD style task management
My husband and I started using Todoist in summer. Shortly after we placed a ton of things on our lists, we realized that our projects weren’t syncing. It’s been about 5 months now, and this glitch/bug still isn’t fixed. 😕 This app could be great with all the features offered, but until shared projects can sync again, this is pretty useless unless you’re not sharing any projects/lists.
First off, I love Todoist. I’ve tried, and continue to try, task management apps and Todoist maintains to be the best hands down. Second, feedback. (I didn’t know where else to leave feedback cause I didn’t wanna set up a session) Anyway, it’d be great to have the ability to adjust the speed of the animations. When I’m trying to input an item quickly, the animation to get to the panel feels slower than I’d expect a quick action to be. (To note, I'm launching the action from the Todoist widget)
