The articles are great, the app is sub-par

The main issue is that it keeps exiting out of whatever I’m reading when I change apps. This impedes my ability to analyze stories by doing additional searching outside the app and jumping back.

Best Terrible App

The site is great, the content is valuable, but the app is awful and BI apparently will not fix it. As others have noted, the app constantly freezes, crashes, etc. But what is not mentioned is that BI's attempted fix is to let the app eat up all available memory on an iPhone. The app will just keep expanding in size to keep itself running until your phone's memory is full. Mine went to 28gb today! Then the only fix is to delete the app from your phone and start over. You'd think with all the success that BI has had, and their understanding of the importance of mobile, that they'd get this app fixed. But after years of waiting, there is still no sign... PS. As an update many months later, the app is still awful despite the site's terrific (for the most part) content. Every time there's an IOS upgrade, it crashes, freezes, etc, all over again. Much of the trouble stems from the app being so jammed with ads that you can barely read an article. Also you can't view any videos in posts unless you're on Twitter. All videos go through Twitter, so for those not interested in the Twitter hate screaming, no video content from BI. Once again, amazingly bad approach from a site that claims to understand and value mobile...

Worse and worse with each week

I used to be on it regularly, but this year, the app been worse and worse with each passing week, sometimes it doesn’t update for days or weeks at a time, just get the same articles for days or weeks, new thing is I can’t scroll up and down in the articles sometimes, and I have iPhone XS Max,

For all uses with iOS 13 or iPhone 11s, the app will not open; only to a blank white page with nothing on it. Crashes a lot as well-

Great content, if it would load

Love the content, but I feel like none of the articles ever load on the app

Love BI as long as it stays out of politics

Would even subscribe

Used to be my favorite news source

Unfortunately it rarely works on any of my iOS devices, and when it does it either constantly crashes or fails to update news content.

News won’t update and articles won’t load

Lately this app has been horrible with news content that won’t update and articles would take forever to load on screen to a point where I give up trying to view article after 15 minutes wasted on multiple attempts to view it. What I don’t understand is, these issues have been going on for a few weeks and it still hasn’t been fixed.

Used to be good

There has been a steady erosion of quality of the app. There’s basically two parts to this— the app and the articles. The app does not update the content for days sometimes. It’s not properly fetching the articles. Someone should either be hired to take care of this. If someone was already hired, they should be fired and hire someone else. Lastly the content used to be business focused. Now all i see is product placement for makeup and women’s products. So weird. It’s not even business stuff anymore. There’s no business insider. It’s now the general news insider. It was better when they just aggregated articles from other sources. The news was on the cutting edge then now it’s shambles.
