It’s strange that my mother can order just fine but on my iPhone it gives me nothing but issues and froze on my screen.
I have had to order 3 days in advance to get thins delivered on a carts in day. Your service is so much better!!
I used to think the service was great. But, the shopper have gotten very lazy and try to get whatever they can in a short amount of time. The food replacements are ridiculous, the delivery time is usually late, and the produce is not looked over. Too bad, won’t be using anymore.
I’ve made 4 orders in 2 weeks and each one has had crippling issues. I think the best one was an order that included wine and the shopper went to a store that didn’t sell it. I asked how that happened and if they knew it wasn’t sold there and they said yes, and they went there because it was close. Why accept an order and go to a place that you know doesn’t carry the items? The shopper blamed Instacart, Instacart blamed the shopper. They’re happy to offer credits but why would I keep using a service that gets it wrong every time?
Signed me up automatically for a yearly service trial. I thought, ok fine I’ll just cancel it right away. Oops, no where in the app or my apple subscriptions to cancel it. Alright, I’ll remove the payment method. Nope! Still charged me! Still nowhere under account info to cancel it! Thanks A-holes!
If you enjoy not having your money stolen, don’t use this app. TLDR: Instacart inflates the prices of items by a few dollars each and will not investigate or offer refunds. I’ve been using Instacart for over a year, thinking it was a better alternative to Whole Foods (Amazon). It wasn’t until this year when I actually looked at the digital “receipt” if you can call it that, that I noticed major price discrepancies. I ordered some party items like cheese and veggie platters for guests. I was charged $27 for it on my “receipt” from Instacart, but the sticker on the tray clearly said $23. I then looked through some other items with price stickers and they were all a few dollars less than what Instacart charged me. These dollars add up! I tried contacting customer service. I took screenshots and even sent an itemized spreadsheet of each item, the price I was charged and the actual price. I kept getting different answers like “This is how it’s supposed to work” or “we checked the receipt and the prices you shared match the receipt ” as if I’m incapable of comparing two numbers to see if they are the same. Customer service is incredibly dismissive and won’t even look at it. So basically, Instacart is getting over on its customers, charging wildly different prices than the actual price in the grocery store. If they’re doing it to me, they’re probably doing it to you as well. If you don’t believe me, check the price stickers of your deli items (I don’t think most general items have stickers). You’ll see they’ve added a couple dollars, and they definitely won’t give it back or even try to reason with you. It seems like this should be illegal. I’m not sure how this is not illegal actually. But to safe just avoid this app.
Very appreciative of the detail and communication!!
Pricing is not sustainable for Instacart. I carted $220 and no free delivery unless I add another $28 of high margin breakfast items. Really dumb move. Then they charge 15%. If you aren’t careful, you will pay $50 over the grocery cost. Money grabbing company.
This delivery was perfect. Jimmy found everything on my list and I am quite pleased
I’ve never been one to order delivery of anything until a couple years ago. My daughter was diagnosed with brain cancer and ordering groceries became a must. I could be taking care of her and getting groceries. Taking her to the store wasn’t something we could do and by the time my husband was home in the evening I was just too exhausted. InstaCart saved the day!
