Great drivers, but

They keep you hanging on a thread, tying you up for 10-15 min before telling you there are no drivers available. It took four tries and an hour to get a ride. Aren’t there better algorithms to schedule? Isn’t this a tech company?

Lyft is WAAAYYYY better than Uber

I used to live in DC and used Uber all the time but I hated how Uber charges you even if the driver doesn’t show up. They obviously take the pending charges off after awhile but typically it takes several business days. So if you select 2-3 Ubers because they keep canceling it is several charges on your account. It can add up! Once we were staying on a military installation and we got canceled 5 times! Lyft does not do that. You only get charged once you get picked up! So only one charge!

Incorrectly charged damaged fee

I had the most terrible experience with Lyft. On thanksgiving night me and my friends took a Lyft to our friends house and after arriving I was charged with a damage fee for spilled liquid in the car. I received an email stating that I am charged 80 dollars for this and their proof was a picture and a story provided by the driver. The most interesting part is that we didn’t have any liquid with us and it was definitely from a previous person in the car. So I contacted them both with email and from the app and I have not received an answer yet.

A honest true review of Lyft….

Part of me doesn’t truly know where to begin with this review. Part of me wishes Lyft could do a more thoughtful and caring way to help with their customer support. Unfortunately, it’s a shame Lyft’s customer support is not only in a desperate need of a revamp of sorts, but how unobtainable they truly can be. So I had decided to purchase a $60 gift card for Lyft, I hadn’t used it in a while, and it was a treat to myself (amazon egift card from my boss, and used some on the Lyft gift card. I applied it to my account, and all seemed to be okay. Up until the same error messages kept coming up, saying, “Sorry, there was a payment issue with your payment info”, and it wanted me to add a new card with the same billing address AS the card that is on file has. Not only have I attempted to do this process, but there are only 3 cards that I and have added to my account and for some reason, Lyft’s terrible and awful application seems to think that I entered my address in correctly. I’ve lived in NYC for 10 years, I’m pretty sure if Uber isn’t having these issues, then you should either, and something likes this need to be brought up and addressed immediately. Customer service is an absolute joke. Especially when my account is LOCKED and it seems that I have a lingering $60 gift card balance, that I can’t even use because of these errors. It’s nice to see from reading other reviews that I’m not alone in this issue. But thankfully, I dug up the courage to write this very long review, and I can only help for changes to occur within Lyft’s team and customer support.

Lyft should require riders to have photo Id upload in app. If riders get bad ratings from other drivers they should not be forced to pick up declining rides from bad riders should be acceptable

Keeps charging me for ride, then again at end of day

The other day I took multiple rides, and as I confirmed each ride, my bank account reflected the balance. But at the end of the day when I took my last ride which was $8.99, I got charged $32. I was charged twice for all the rides I took that day which put my account at negative. Tried disputing but it keeps saying it’s a “7 day hold to verify funds are available ” which is unacceptable because a ride wouldn’t be accepted if the funds aren’t available. I would a refund and credits or I’m going to Uber for good

Cant find address on app

Since sometime in October My address can not be found on this app very disappointing

When are y’all gonna do specials with cheaper prices or something off per ride I have not seen that sinse y’all started would great for the holidays thank you I was changed over what I agreed to and your prices are way too high and y’all don’t give specials anymore for regular riders I may go back to regular cab companies and I want my difference back I was charged over price it’s very disrespectful
