Smart Blood Pressure (or SmartBP ®) is a smarter way to manage your blood pressure measurements and track your progress. SmartBP is a blood pressure management app that allows you to record, track, analyze and share your Blood Pressure information using your iPhone/iPod touch/iPad devices and Apple Watch (check compatibility requirements). In addition, SmartBP connects with Apple HealthKit. With your health information at your fingertips, you can now take a more active role in your own health. Whether prehypertensive or hypertensive, SmartBP can help you track your progress and manage all your blood pressure measurements with an overall goal of improving your blood pressure. Disclaimer: 1) SmartBP allows you to record, track and analyze trends in your blood pressure. You can either manually enter your records or use a blood pressure monitor to sync with SmartBP through Apple Health. SmartBP alone does not measure blood pressure. You need a separate blood pressure monitor to measure blood pressure. 2) SmartBP is NOT a substitute for a doctor or professional healthcare or advice. The ads in this app are extremely obnoxious. It’s almost impossible to evaluate the app to decide whether I want to pay for a premium subscription, because ads pop up at almost every tap. To be clear, I don’t mind paying for apps — but this is beyond the pale. Also, the app is very inconsistent about picking up HealthKit data. Often when I launch the app, the data shown is stale and there’s no obvious way to force a sync with HealthKit.
I love the iPhone app and have used it for several years, but wanted to also have the data on my iPad Air.
Gotta say, it’s real cute when an app will let you download it for free on the App Store, just to say you need to buy the premium version to actually use it. This app will not let you use it on your watch unless you buy it. Seemed like a really cool app until I tried pulling it up on my watch and finding out I get nothing
I love this app. I just purchased the upgrade so i could track my wife’s data as well. A couple of things: 1. would like to be able to easily transfer data from one user to another as i forgot to go back to my user area and instead entered my data for several measurements into my wife’s data. 2. would prefer the weight data to remain the same once entered so i would not have to go back to the pinwheel each time to enter progressive data. Weight does not vary but by small amounts if at all so keeping it at the previous measurement until i enter the new data would also keep the charts more accurate if i do not weigh every day. 3. would like to see some of the tags on the main screen for my user data or maybe be able to show data for all users with tags delineating whose data is whose as comparison without having to use the filters. Overall i like this user friendly functionality. Terrific job !!!
Doesn’t check bp with Apple Watch useless app, paid 7.99 for nothing
I’m an every day user of this app and love the data I can keep in it and that it syncs with the apple health app. The one thing I’ve been disappointed about is that the biometric passcode keeps turning itself off? I like to keep my information private and this is something I’d love to see addressed. That is the only thing keeping this from being a 5 star app for me.
This app doesn’t offer you and extra abilities that you need to pay its just a stupid tracker if you know your blood pressure sont buy it
Day 1 So far not so good. Probably will get better. I wanted this app for both iPhone AND iPad. iPhone for getting data synced to Apple Health App and iPad for larger display Other apps like Kardia, EMAY, and Glucose don’t have a problem at all. They work seamlessly thru their cloud. So far these two apps DO NOT KNOW about each other. Apple I guess is partly to blame I guess since they do not allow the Apple Health App to exist in the iPad and Only iPhone for some ridiculous reason which I forget at the moment. Also this app ONLY works with Google Drive and not Microsoft 1Drive. Hopefully will get better but at the moment far from the ease of using the more powerful imho than the app “Glucose” $8 for SmartBP $8 for Glucose Tracker $$ Not paying more now for Drop Box Update #1 Okay transferred data iPhone to iPad Can’t Share until I save data but how Okay save data by sending yourself a csv file but how do you export?? Update #2 Okay I found out how to export a csv file. If you click on the correct “Share” button you are given a choice to send a csv file. Not the one on the “Home” screen but the one on the bottom of the “History” screen is the correct share button. I am getting there. Note: instead of the earlier message that said “You must save before you can share” WHY NOT SAY ALSO there at that time and place “”Do you want to save now by sending a csv file to yourself?” OMG what a great idea,! by On receiving device 3 horz line menu Go to “receive Data from iPhone/ iPad On Sending device go to Share button Select share with a nearby iPhone or iPad.
Do not pay for this “ad free” app that contains adds. Scam.
Can’t even get my money back! Trash
