Was hoping you could make specific notes regarding taste, smell, etc about tastings. But only a rating and notes. Also you can’t maintain a private list.
The challenge is that they require that they’ve heard of the wine. You can not manually enter a wine. Given that the market is always producing new stuff delectable is always behind. The ap almost never recognizes labels accurately and since they won’t let you edit, it’s pretty much a waste of time.
Unfortunately Delectable continues to ignore win enthusiasts on an iPad. I’m not sure why it’s taking them this long to get iPad support. It’s much easier to type up a review on an iPad with a keyboard and I can always use the iPhone to snap a wine label, then type up a detailed review later.
A wine app that is actually functional.
This Pinot is tremendous at this age. I encourage you all to age your Pinots.
Since I like my reds’ on the full and bold side I had to rate it accordingly. Possibly pairing with a a pork tenderloin might be something.
Have to re-enter year after you tag people. Not defined on how to be rated as a wine professional even if you are one. No contact or support options.
Low on tannins and drinks smoothly. Great with smoked turkey.
Never helpful. Never has pricing available.
This is a great app to learn about wines, so easy with just a screenshot. It’s great to be able to rate and make my own notes. Where it fails is, once I’ve snapped, rated and saved, good luck finding it again. It’s a huge pain to scroll through all 200 wines I’ve saved to find the one I’m looking for. If there’s a way to search my personal list, it’s not very obvious...on the app or the website. Kinda makes it useless from that perspective. Thinking about going back to my spreadsheet method, at least there I can sort by various methods to find what I’m looking for.
