Downloaded the app, needed to send photos and lots of text, purchased the year unlimited only to begin receiving texts in kanji or something. I reached out to their support and was told that was how they received the text. Talked to the friend that sent it and it was 100% in English. Support said they checked their back end and saw the same thing. Blamed it on the senders method of sending whether it was too long of a text or a third party keyboard. Regardless, do not feel like I’m getting what I paid for.
So far I’ve had this app for almost 6 months I love being able to separate work from my personal phone, along with not giving my real number out to strangers while working I literally have no complaints and would recommend this to all jump on the subscription monthly plan it’s cheap and it works
Wish there was a way to search texts, and the notes for each contact don’t save. They disappear next time you open the app
I’m only leaving a one star because I need to ask a question- Before I start using this app I just have a question. With I phones if you text someone it will most likely say “ text from Maybe and the persons name” will this still happen for a burn phone number? I would love to use this app but would like to know if it will still show the name of who owns the phone.
Happy I found this app!
Tried to use a phone number to sign up for a Twitter account. Didn’t work. Didn’t get an answer as to whether or not it would work. Now I’ve wasted my money on a subscription. I should have waited for that answer.
You can test and message, but the call function does not work on my iPad. When you receive a call it sends it to my cell phone. If I wanted it on my cell, I would not need a second number. Frustrating.
I have sent them countless emails showing my receipt from Apple that I paid for a 1 line, auto-renewing burner and they ignored my emails for months, repeat responses of “send Apple receipt showing purchase of subscription” - which I did, and eventually blocked my email address. It’s pretty incredible that they would put this much effort into cheating someone out 47+ dollars. Embarrassing.
Good 2nd number for hiding your real number but is anyone else experiencing lost or erased notes if you’re using the notes section for each profile number?
I give hardly anybody my real number because if I want to change it I don’t want to pay $15. I subscribe and block how I want too. My everyday number is not tied to my social media accounts. When people import their contacts I don’t get suggested as a friend. This prevents co workers and other from knowing my personal business. I have tried apps by pinger and google voice. I did not like them and this is by far the cheapest option. I highly recommend it.
