...since I bought an IPAD Pro 2018. Nothing is in alpha order anymore. HELP
It’s slow buggy and many options don’t work. I would like a refund!
I downloaded this app while using Jack in the Box wifi. I try to create a new document, but the app doesn't want to let me *do* anything with it—"Unable to connect to server for Documents Editing. Please check that your Internet is active and your firewall is not blocking the connection." Try creating a spreadsheet as well as a text doc, same result. Well, JitB wifi *does* have a nanny filter on it, so maybe that's the problem. After returning to home, I try opening the Welcome.odt document. Success! Then I try opening one of the documents I allegedly created at JitB. I say "allegedly" cuz while the app does claim that they're *there*, it didn't want to allow me to work with them, so… it is a mystery. Anyway. Back at home, opening a document I created previously, and no joy; again, "unable to connect to server". Hmm. Tried opening the Welcome.odt doc again. Unlike the first time, which succeeded, *this* time I get the now-familiar "unable to connect to server" error instead of, you know, a document in a window. Not real sure what's up with this app, but as of now, I'm not at all pleased with it. Hopefully the developers are monitoring the reviews and can do something to make the thing work like I paid money for it to work. Later addendum: It appears that the app has a 1:2 to 1:4 chance of successfully opening any document, with that "unable to connect to server" error showing up any time the doc fails to open. Also: The app window has a sort of menubar in it. All very well and good (and Windows-like…), but the app window covers *all* the screen, including the iPad's native menubar (the top edge of the screen which show the battery status, time, etc). Which means that the window's menubar occupies much the same space as the iPad's menubar. This means that you have to be rather careful with your tapping of menus, lest your tap be absorbed by the iPad's menubar rather than activating the menu you were trying for. Slow response time for typing, tapping. Still highly unimpressed with this beast.
which is sad, as it used to work okay on my old iPads and iPhone. Well, hopefully the developers will make the necessary enhancements, but, until they do — I CAN’T TOTALLY GIVE UP MY WINDOWS 10 LAPTOP !!! :-(
If you use Dropbox, find another app. I want my money back.
Seems to be a good product a little slow with the typing but I am enjoying it
More powerful and smooth than anything I've seen in 10 years of iPad use!! Was updated for new Dropbox compatibility in 2017 too. Thanks!!!
Is not user friendly, very glitchy, takes forever for inputs to show up when editing. Basically just an emulator. Swipe to move through spread sheet is very slow and glitchy. How do I get my $5 back?
I spent $5 for an app won’t connect to Dropbox? Or Google Docs? What a ripoff!
If I'm listening to Spotify and open Docs Unlimited, Spotify stops. It's as if Docs Unlimited thinks it is a music app and takes over the sound output on iOS, even though it is a document editor. Why does this happen, is there a way I can fix it from my end or is this a bug?
