RainAware relies on National Weather Service radars and may not work properly if a radar is down or if the beam is blocked by mountains. Extremely light sprinkles or drizzle may not always be detected. Precipitation times will change as RainAware adjusts to rapidly changing weather conditions. Precipitation can form suddenly or dissipate at any time. Works best when precipitation is moving. Times are estimates and have inherent error. Advanced settings are there to mitigate these issues.
I love it when I can tell people the exact time it will rain or stop raining. The forecasts are very good.
I used to rely on this app. - however , this app. Is NEVER accurate
This WAS my go to app but a few weeks ago this app just quit on me now I want to know WHY
Bragged to everyone who loved being in the know about weather and showed them app and examples Now - it can be pouring BUCKETS of rain and home screen shows “Dry and no rain” Feedback from company is blah blah blah even after sending screen shot examples
I had an issue with the data shown and the customer reps contacted me within a few hours to say that it was all fixed!!! Works like a champ now!
I rely heavily on Rain Aware and the nowcasting format it uses. It has saved me several times from getting drenched or getting too far from shelter when bad weather was inbound. The 5 minute breakdowns are highly accurate and very valuable for people like me who walk and hike on a daily basis. I love the three hour clock graphic as well.
It is thundering and we are having severe thunderstorm warnings. Rain aware says “Dry”.
The app’s design might not be the prettiest but this app places function over form and the functionality is great.
When I first got this app - it was spot on! I don’t know which update switched it from being useful - the last couple of times I used it - it was way off. It would say next 3 hours dry and then I would look up and see the gray clouds and hear the thunder and it still said dry for the next 3 hours! It started raining within minutes! If it were a free app - then I would say lesson learned but I actually paid $4.99 for it! I hope this update corrects this
I would like to be refunded for this app
