This could be a great app

Sadly, it’s hot crap. Depending upon the phase of the moon, or something else weird, while you’re using the app to keep track of your score hole by hole, the app half crashes, going back to the Home Screen of the app. Fortunately, when you select Play with GPS/Games, the app warns you that you have an unfinished round, and you can get back to where you were. Part of the problem is that contact about problems doesn’t go directly to the USGA, but to your state association, and you are at the mercy of that association to send feedback to the USGA. Again, this could be a superb app, but the apparent lack of response knocks it down to 1 star. Use the app, but yell through every method possible about bugs you encounter.

Frustrating and an indictment of USGA’s laziness and negligence

Demands new password (I guess they lost it) in the middle of the round. Just what you need during a match. This would be a great app if it were dependable which is not the case

Great features when it works

I paid for the premium version and love the features with this app especially the green contours feature and the Apple Watch integration. But….the app will not stay open and keeps closing on its own. You must reopen the app and start the whole process again. Very annoying and a time waster. I’ve used the app 4 times and each time it has shutdown at least once per round, this last round a few days ago it shutdown 3 times before the 9th hole,had to put it away, hence this review. I now regret paying for the premium version.

Poor ipad and apple watch support

First the ipad. - I use the ipad in landscape mode. This app only supports portrait… This makes the app useless on and ipad for me. The watch - Wow. Such a poor effort. My phone is in my bag so often the distances are way off.

New hole by hole is a pain

The new way to enter hole by hole is difficult and requires at least twice as much time. The keyboard entry was much more effective. BRING IT BACK!

Do not buy if you use a watch!

I purchased this because I thought it would simplify posting my scores after a round. However, I like to only use my Apple Watch when playing. This app is a disaster for a watch user. First, the watch features are nowhere near where other apps are. You cannot input your score on the watch nor can you track shot distances. Second, the watch app is glitchy. It wanted to continue to play different holes and I had to continually manually tell it what hole we were on. Very frustrating. Third, the app crashed multiple times. This required me to go back to the phone and restart. It kept the score correctly when I restarted, but it was frustrating to continually have to pull out my phone to restart the app. In summary, when I’m golfing, I don’t want to be interacting with my phone. It’s distracting and unpleasant. The watch is a great solution that GHIN has barely attempted to make viable. I asked for a refund the day after I purchase and after deciding 9 holes in to return to Hole 19 for the remainder of the round but I’ve been denied. So do yourself a favor and don’t flush $50 down the toilette with this junk app if you want to use a watch while you golf.

Don’t waste your $$$

Purchased the enhanced GPS upgrade on Aug 4. Tried it for 2 rounds. The app constantly crashed. Frustrated to the point I switched back to Golfshot. Attempted to contact for a refund. No response. Now working through Apple.

GHIN Application

Without a doubt this is the best application for golf there is and I would recommend it to everyone who plays golf. It has so many great features that everyone should enjoy and it will make a better golfer for everyone. I use it for all my courses and I have been enjoying it every since I started using the application.

Pathetic search filter.

Can’t search for common last names, terrible app. You can only view 2 of your last scores at a time without scrolling, whoever wrote this app should be fired.

Great Software!

Love this app so very much. I am no pro but the live distances are perfect for my game! One feature request that I would love to see is a live compass heading toward the given pin from the device. Some tee boxes / shots are blind and it would be nice to able to have confidence in direction of a blind shot.
