I’ve switched to WeatherBug- not sure what they were thinking. Maybe the premium version is what the app used to be but I don’t pay for apps cause there really isn’t a reason for most of them. It was a good run but I’m moving on. Thanks
EVERYONE I have talked to about this “update” hates it - EVERYONE! Give us the option to revert and see how many do so! I double dog dare ya!
I’ve been using this app for years, and the recent “updates” seem like it’s gone back to stone knives and bearskins. The radar is typically about 15 minutes to a half hour off from current weather, it’s impossible to click on a station on the map and then get a forecast for that area, and zooming out on the map makes 99% of the station icons disappear. Add to the fact that the iPad app narrows everything to the middle of the screen, and this becomes practically unusable. Thanks a bunch for NOTHING, Weather Channel and IBM.
I’ve had wunderground for years and I loved the older version and can’t stand this new one. It’s pretty useless. Deleted and looking for something else. Change it back!
I’m a construction professional and this was my favorite weather app since the birth of apps and I’m now looking for an alternate.
How are these horrible updates getting through. Ipad support is a absolute mess. Fire your devlopment lead because someone is running this App and its users into the ground. Dont release updates unless you test them.
I used the premium version that I purchased one time for a small price for many years. It was a great app- replaced the native iPhone weather app. Now, just because I updated the app, WU wants $3.99 a month or $19.99 a year for an ad fee version that quite honestly doesn’t even seem to function as well. I’ll just delete it from my phone and use something else. Sad to see a nice product self-destruct.
When a weather app’s interactive map icons (info and share) on the radar prohibit a user from seeing the area of the warning, you don’t need the app. Obviously the owner/developers are more interested in you sharing than your ability to see storm paths.
The recent changes (Dec 2019ish) were terrible. What I want back on my iPhone: - a decent graph of temp and precipitation forecast, that shows more than 3 days at a time, and is not so stingy with vertical space. - ability to hide what I don’t want to see. Big giant current temp is not interesting to me. All I want is a radar map and good daily/hourly forecast. Can’t I choose what I want, like in the old days? - please show names of real places for locations, not cryptic names of weather station I.d. Numbers. ///
Since most recent update ( currently feb 2020), this has been completely revamped and useless for me Difficult to find data like precip amounts. Difficult to navigate through menus. This was my go to weather app. Now default Apple weather/weather channel app is far superior. I am embarrassed to have recommended this app in the past.
