It’s a good app but you can’t even watch the free movies, they make you buy a Roku device for your tv to be able to watch the “free movies”. The Roku app is not available for the google play store on my Sony Bravia tv and most don’t come with Roku app already installed, so it’s impossible to get it on your Bravia. I really wish that Sony would make the Roku app free and available for the PlayStation consoles and also Sony Bravia tv.
You have to constantly "check connection" on Roku TV in order to keep the app connected. The answer to this issue when researched is, "Roku is known and documented trash, sorry." I try to use the app for headphone listening, but it randomly disconnects to an extent that I'd have to recommend literally any other streaming device if you don't want to reconnect your devices every 10 min just to finish a YouTube video. I assume Roku is popular because it was early to the game, but quickly fell behind.
Roku needs to improve there connection. Sometimes it to work and sometimes it does not. It’s very frustrating
Overall the app is good except when I can’t use it because it will not connect. Both my phone and tv are connected to the wifi but I can’t seem to get the app to connect to my tv. I like the app but please fix this.
It’s not working not keeps asking me to turn on my tv when it’s all ready on and then it’s says it has not connected even though the Wi-Fi and the tv is in and fine this app is garbage don’t by this app.
Stopping working. Says it can’t connect. then when I forget device I try to find it again it tells me there’s no devices on my network. I check to make sure everything is connected as it should l. Find it is and still won’t work.
No cap I actually took time out of my day to do this, but this app is so bad I can never connect to my tv using this app I gotta power my phone off and go through 20 mins of trouble everyday
I really hate this all It glitches so much It has a bunch of bugs And it needs to be cleaned up
Several months ago the app no longer would show my devices that had been connected to the app. The app will not find any of my devices won’t work for my TVs upstairs. manually put in my device IDs app still will not find my device.
