The app is crashing all out of the nowhere
The graphical bugs can be horrible at times, sometimes it seems normal, other times things are popping into existence right in front of you and the lighting gets REAL weird. Just would like to see more effort put in to making it the same experience that you got when you played the game on console, though I realize I’m lucky to play it on my phone at all.
Super fun game, and there’s not much more I can say about the game that hasn’t already been said; it’s GTA III, it’s great. Here are a few things that prevent me from giving it a full five stars; 1) Aiming. The aiming is pretty bad. Even with a game pad/ controller, your character will only fire at the closest NPC you are facing or the closest hostile NPC, and it’s auto lock-on. You cannot change target at all unless you physically tap on who else you want to shoot after you have started firing. It does hinder the experience a little for me. It would have been nice if there was an option to cycle targets or toggle freeaim/always aiming like on PC. 2) Some NPCs will attack you unprovoked. Every gang except for seemingly the Yakuza and sometimes the Diablos will not attack you. While it may make sense for freeroam and a story perspective, it gets annoying when trying to do side missions such as races like Turismo, where you have to pass through Triad and Mafia territory and they will shoot you and most likely your car will explode. The only car good for that is the bulletproof Patriot which in itself is slow and you only get one chance to get it. I can’t tell if the hostility is a bug or intentional. 3) Lack of pause menu map and some icons on the mini map don’t show up. Having a pause menu map would be very helpful, and sometimes icons don’t appear on the mini map correctly. Some replayable side missions, houses, paint shops, and ammunations will stop appearing on the mini map over time 4) lack of button mapping Other than that, this is still a very fun game and it is very much worth the price to get this game and play it. These issues are small and probably not a big deal for most other players, though if they do get fixed, then this would be a solid 5/5 stars for me. I completed the entirety of this game on an IPhone 11 Pro Max on iOS 14.3 with a Razer Kishi IPhone controller.
Man what I can I say about this game, brings back good memories. GTA III is the first game I had with my PS2 back in the day. Still enjoying playing it in this mobile format. Game play is good, overall it’s easy to play, control functions are okay and needs some getting used to, camera angles on some cut scenes as well as in-gameplay can be a bit off and cut off sections of the characters. I still give this game 5 stars because it’s still pretty original and not much different then what I remember playing all those years ago. If you loved the game growing up, buy this one you won’t regret it. I bought the bundle so I’ll be spending lots of time in the GTA world 😃.
I like his game it brings back nostalgia
Play it all the time
Ive been playing grand theft seens i was a kid and 16 don’t listen to the people who says ur game is bad or change it because they are wrong i dont want u to change it ever thanks for making this game. From stephon😎
Now with newer smartphones than of the iPhone 4 for which this game was made for, it would bring this title from a 1 to a 5 star rating if they would implement a setting adjustments for the graphics. Especially when the drawing distance is really compromised in this version. The PC version looked so much better. My phone is way more powerful than a pc of 2001. So how is it that I have to play this looking so bad.
Honestly, this is the first time I ever played this game. I later bought it for PC which is what I use to install mods and other things, but this was my first introduction to it. I thought it was going to be terrible coming off of GTA V but I actually enjoyed it. Only complaint is that the controls are a little clunky and the camera can be buggy at times, but other than that, it runs beautifully on an iPhone 11.
