There is way too much going on when it should be as simple as the user wants it to be. If I just want to track calories I should be able to do that. Also, it’s difficult to put in the correct serving size which is another big sigh.
I’ve been using MM+ for a little over 6 months now. I got a new phone last week, I read that I could sync my info to be on the new phone, and then I messed up and clicked then wrong button, which meant losing all of my food entries, data, etc. Safe to say, I cried but then sucked it up and said I’d just start over. Someone in a macros group on Facebook recommended I reach out through the app, and while skeptical, I did. I am SO GRATEFUL that I did!! MM+ was able to get my data from their end, and once they had it, all I had to do was sync it correctly! All of my stuff was back, and I was quite happy. I love good customer service, and MM+ definitely exceeded it! Thank you! It’s greatly appreciated.
I’m going to try again in a week to see if there’s just something weird going on, but the only thing I’ve tried to do so far is as one type of food, then play around with how the serving information is displayed, and add it to a meal. The result was the app saying that I’ve consumed only tiny decimal amounts of macros from that food, but somehow gone 1.2k calories over my daily caloric budget. Obviously not the case. Like I said, what this app promises sounds great so I’ll try again I’m a few days. We’ll see.
This app is extremely hard to use and track. For now you’d be better off with a pen and paper. It has almost no items in their library and actions are very unintuitive.
I give it a 5 for user interface— nicely organized and easy to use. I give it a ZERO for the actual food info portion. Nothing I scan or search for is ever right. I wind up having to fill in most of the information. This is what made me leave the app. I can’t be sitting around all day plugging in numbers, I need to scan and be done.
Very annoyed!! Within first 2 meals of the days, the nutrition details were wrong ok items. I updated 3 times and it would not update. Going back to MFP
I like the style of the app but it’s just way too tedious to add foods. Other apps out there are way more user friendly.
I paid $2.99 for the app. I understand not moving forward with their subscription, but how do you delete someone’s entries and saved items from an app they paid for. The app is connected to your account and you share with your coach. This is a low move.
This app is wonderful and I’ve used it for a little over 3-4 years now. BUT, the “forced” calorie got your back option is kind of stupid. This should be an option to turn on/off. Not something forced on the user. Especially, when the macro entered is 100% correct and the one being forced is 100% wrong.
This app is not worth paying for! The only nice part is being able to set your macros at exactly what you want. The foods available in the search are very limited and the barcode scanner did not work very well.
