What a disgrace. The commentary this year ((2023) is a disgrace. Where is this company getting these folks? Watched the UMich - Cinci game today and the commentators did not realize the audio was live prior to the start of the game and one person was dropping f-bombs (Coby?). It was obvious they had not womens lax IQ and kept calling wrong penalties and had no clue that of a goalie change at halftime…. Crazy that anyone would pay a red cent for this garbage. I would have been happier just hearing the game noise. ESPN+ and ACCN are sooo much better!!! what a waste. The disparity of the commentating quality between mens and women’s game is apparent. It a time where we are trying to grow the game it’s quite disappointing. The Big 10 must do better and train and invest in providing quality. Do better!
This is the worst app ever. It never works on AppleTV, but mostly works on IPhone and FireStick. Very frustrating for what I am paying. If you email customer support there is never a resolution, just emailing them config info which I understand is important for trouble shooting but never seems to resolve anything. Based on the ratings it looks like I’m not the only one experiencing issues.
Bad app and like others complain about too, it is misleading how this app says you can stream all your favorite sports and games but it’s only the “non televised” stuff. Junk program and I will make it my mission to tell everyone to stay FAR AWAY from big 10 programs and services. As customers, we demand and deserve better. Do not download this app and do not give big 10 your money.
Terrible production value. Audio: could only hear one announcer. Video: out of focus the entire game. Camera operators could not follow the ball. Graphics: think 1980s.
I have watched big ten plus for a number of years. Where do you get these basketball announcers. They are so one sided and always favor one team. No fairness at all they can not be home town because that does not seem to make any difference. It is sickening . They have their favorite bream and it shows Bad
I have a monthly conference pass subscription I purchased within this app, so I can manage it via my Apple ID settings. (Apple’s subscription management is fantastic, especially when dealing with vendors who make it difficult or impossible to manage recurring subscription charges.) For months, I’ve had to contact BTN+ subscriber services every time my IAP subscription renews, because the app tells me I don’t have a subscription. When I reach them, I’m asked to prove payment with a copy of my payment receipt — and sometimes other documentation — and told the only reliable way to resolve this recurring issue is to cancel my IAP subscription and give them my payment information directly. (Given the fact that I have many IAP subscriptions and BTN+ is the only one that gives me this issue, I’m extremely suspicious about giving them my credit card information.) This month, BTN+ ended my subscription with two weeks remaining. When I reached out to subscriber services with proof of payment, they restored my subscription as a cheaper, single-school pass rather than the conference pass I paid for. Two days later, my access has finally been restored — but my profile page in the app is a mess, now showing the incorrect single-school pass _and_ the conference pass I paid for (tho’ the conference pass now shows the wrong expiration date). This seems like a clear violation of App Store policy. I opened a complaint with Apple today regarding BTN’s practices regarding IAP payments. If this is happening to you, I encourage you to do the same.
On Apple TV app, when I click to play some games, a red “no” sign (circle with a line through it) shows up and the video won’t play. This happens frequently and I’m unable to watch at least 30% of games because of this issue. Sometimes the games are able to be viewed later and other times the games are not able to be viewed. All the games in question occurred months in the past so it isn’t a delay related to video availability. Also, not all Big Ten team games are available. I’m not sure what the rules are here because even non-BTN games are on here, but not all of them. So, when it works, I’m thankful for the product. Unfortunately, I’ll have to cancel my service because I’m not getting what I pay for. Lastly, the UI design is terrible. I have to click my Apple TV Remote probably 20+ times before I perform enough filters to get to the game I want to watch. The idea behind this app is very promising. The execution technically speaking and in TV contract rights (to show all games of big ten teams in this app) need to catch up. I do enjoy the app once I start watching a game though. The skipping speed is good and they integrated the ability to skip using voice via Siri which is a must have. Not all apps have this and I’m thankful for the ones that do.
Couldn’t even stream one game. Waste of money.
Only gave a 1 star because I was not allowed to give 0
I’m watching the Iowa/Wisconsin basketball game. The video quality is MAYBE DVD quality? (Honestly more like an old VHS tape.) One of the commentators audio is distorted. It’s Amateur Night, apparently. If I’m gonna pay as much for this app as I do for other sports streaming apps, can we at least TRY(?)to achieve a level of quality one would expect in 2014…let alone 2023?
