I have been selling on Poshmark for almost 2 years and I absolutely will continue to sell on this app! Please know that this selling app is unique - it is very much a social, communal selling app. Everyone helps one another gain exposure for the items they’re selling by sharing their listings. The more you share, the more your items get noticed to the thousands of users on the platform. Poshmark does charge 20% fees, which is high, however, this helps cover quite a few perks the app has to offer as well as paying their employees (yes, other people need to make a living too). You get one shipping option which is USPS 1-3 day priority and currently costs $7.11. Yes, this is high, however, every year the post office increases their prices, such is life. Priority helps with getting your item(s) to you on time and includes insurance up to $50.00. If you are selling an item that is more than $50.00 it is automatically fully insured by Poshmark (part of that 20% fee they charge). This means that if you sell an item for $150 and it gets lost in transit or winds up stolen - insurance will cover the cost and you will get paid your $150 and the buyer will get refunded as well. Poshmark’s customer service is stellar. Yes, it may take longer than a few days to get an answer, but they do try their best to make both buyer and sellers happy. I personally feel that Poshmark has their sellers and buyers back unlike eBay. For example, I feel that eBay has buyers backs but not the sellers which leads to a lot of scams. Speaking of scams, EVERY SELLING APP HAS PEOPLE WHO TRY TO SCAM YOU. It is inevitable to be on a selling platform where there are no scammers. Scammers scam for A LIVING. They are finding out ways to scam innocent people every day all while you are just trying to earn a buck. Poshmark does their best to notice this and take action when needed. Sometimes, decisions are made not in the favor of the innocent. This is life - no one is perfect. I can tell you that Poshmark takes care of their people 98% of the time which is absolutely reasonable for how many people use this app. My best advise when using this app, take your time. Familiarize yourself with the app as well as safety precautions when listing your items for sale. I love the app and the longer I stay on the app and sell, the more my brand is becoming known and the more sales I am getting. THANK YOU!!
If you’re a reseller you know time is money and this app helps resellers and buyers list and buy items quickly and easily!
Listed nice things from NorthFace and Banana Republic that hardly got a look. I double checked prices to make sure they were competitive. Still nothing. Don’t waste your time on this lousy app.
Great site for quality shopping at reasonable prices! You can definitely get your bargaining on!
Dev response is not helpful. Customer service has been contacted repeatedly for weeks by several sellers and they won’t acknowledge the problem nor fix it. They didn’t even responded in some cases. Absolutely useless. Massive problems after the latest update. Seller’s closets are not being seen. Posh refuses to acknowledge that they messed up or do anything to correct the problem. Loads of people in the Poshmark Facebook group have tried to discuss the issues and the admins delete the posts. If this is how they deal with problems, they’ll be replaced by other platforms soon enough. I’ve moved a ton of my stuff to other sites and loads of others are doing the same.
Crazy enough, I actually wrote a 1 star review with thorough explanation as to why this app is so terrible in its user interface, functionality, search engine, appearance, the percentage they steal from sellers and the absolute RIDICULOUS flat shipping rate fee you’re charged. But it has somehow been removed/deleted? I wonder how many other single star reviews they’ve managed to have removed?? It doesn’t matter if you order a bra, a single sock, or a Bobby pin.... you pay $7.11 to have it shipped to you. they also take 20% of your earnings which is absurd when compared to other selling apps that only take 10%. it’s near impossible to make a decent profit on your items to sell when the provider doesn’t support an easy and fair process. I DO NOT EVER RECOMMEND POSHMARK. look elsewhere. there’s a million other beautiful and fair selling apps out there that are more deserving of your business and time.
I’d like to start with pointing out how some reviews complain about the shipping price being $7.11. BUT, they don’t think about what that all covers. Pro tip: you can order FREE priority mail boxes & envelopes off the USPS website. They will be delivered by your mailman within a week. The boxes come flat & wrapped in packs of 10 or 15 ct. The forced option of the $7.11 shipping price covers detailed tracking, fast 3 days or less shipping, & insurance. Not to mention, the seller is given an option to offer a discount on shipping which helps close a sale! This is the whole point of being able to make “bundles”. Also, Poshmark makes shipping even more easy by providing a shipping label in your email that the seller prints out & just needs to be taped to the box or padded envelope. I had a costumer recently buy an item from Hawaii & I live in PA. They still only paid $7.11 shipping. That’s a very nice shipping offer in my opinion. Anyone who says they had a terrible experience with this app has not used it enough, understood online shopping, or played around with all the options that this app has to offer. Some people are meant to shop in store & some are meant to shop online. But online shoppers need to be patient & inform themselves of all that this app has to offer compared to other ways of buying or reselling their clothing before giving Poshmark a bad review. It’s safer than craigslist & I’ve never had an issue with receiving funds that were owed to me. Costumer service replies to any question, comment, or issue within 24. My entire review is based off of my experience using Poshmark for about 8 months.
Since somehow this got removed - reposting! Yes, Poshmark can be a great way to procure some higher quality items for cheap, and I have done so for the past 4 years, but I’m totally fed up with them at this point. Try and return something that’s misrepresented and see how it goes! They desperately want to be The Real Real and reach IPO, but that will NEVER happen treating customers like garbage. You (the consumer) will end up getting stuck with junk from China or things that aren’t real just b/c they don’t want to process a return and lose money. The app will not allow you to rate the item once a case is put in - which is ABSURD. I can’t warn others against buying from that seller! Skip this app and skip Poshmark.
Would like to be able to delete “sold” listings— a few of mine were cancelled, and some just include pictures of me that I’m not very happy with right now, which has stopped me from sharing my page on social media/possibly getting more sales.
