Half the app is a series of tiles that are upgrade paths to additional functionality, but they are confusing and always in the way. I don’t need to see examples of features on cars that I don’t own, especially if I’ve already paid to unlock those features on the cars I do own. Please consider an option to collapse the tiles or swipe them out of the way.
Put in a request to figure out where my package went or if it was lost, within the hour I received a response the Team (David) more then willing to figure out what was wrong and how it could be solved. It was all my mistake obviously but Im glad that their costumer service will go above and beyond to help out their costumers. Id recommend this product for anyone that wants a great product and a amazing costumer support team!
I got this app soon after I bought my 2012 Roadster. I have the grandfathered full app with no subscription required. Now, my Carly Adapter 2 will not connect at all. I tried reloading the app, and I tried several times to plug the OBD adapter in. I get the lights, and my iPhone shows I’m connected, but the app won’t respond to the adapter, saying to contact support. I have never received a response. I am so frustrated that I can’t get this to work! It’s expensive to buy these adapters. Bimmer Works uses several types of adapters and works far better.
I don’t need it all year..a monthly subscription should be available…price/month is just a false advertisement
I just updated to Version 40.22.111418 which was released today, Nov. 16, 2022. When I do a diagnosis check it takes about 10 minutes on BMW E90. The app worked fine before this update and maybe took, at max, 1 minute to complete. Please fix! Update: 2 days later another update was available, Version 40.22.111619 I updated to this version. Nothing changed. Still takes about 10 minutes to run a diagnostic check. My membership renewal is due shortly and if this issue is not fixed I will cancel and go with BimmerGeeks Protool.
Originally I posted a frustrated review about the time delay it took to receive the plug-in unit from Frankfurt via DHL, but I noted that it was not a Carly issue but a DHL issue. The plug-in unit arrived earlier this week and I put into the OBD port on my X5 immediately. The connection is simple, quick, and easy. The app is intuitive, complete and as advertised on their website. Within minutes and the Carly diagnosed a couple of problems that I did not know existed and I was able to fix, with code resets and I used it to program a few items that had been nagging (door lock or drive off, wiper delay settings, delete warning light that had been replaced). I have already recommended Carly app and hardware to a couple of other BMW friends look forward to more use with it. Overall this a fantastic product and very simple to use.
I’ve been using Carly for two years now it had cleared a lot of issues I had with my car and instead of going to the dealership save me a lot of money Thanks
For 200 that I spent a year ago, it was a disappointment, I loved the coding features and the code walkthroughs but here’s the thing, you code a feature your vehicle didn’t originally have, the hard codes reset it next time you turn it off. I am disappointed with the direction this product took I’d have to spend hundreds to unlock all vehicle. When I could be an autel for 799. Not a tool for actual mechanics, find something else worth while to spend your money on.
I paid $120 for this product to include the app license. They charge another $120 the next year with no notice, no receipt, nothing.
I can’t believe they still haven’t fixed the jumbled interface that you get when it launches in iOS 16. Now with iOS 16.1, the munus are still overlapping and now, the app locks up at 92% when running a diagnostic and you have to force quit the app. We’re getting for iOS 16.2. Fix you app Carly!
