Have been a user of excel for years but using this program on a mac is not user friendly. The hot keys are different and the file is glitchy. Do not recommend
I love my macbook and I love Excel - but it's so much more effcient (and consistent) on Windows - short cut keys? easily hideable ribbons - etc
I'm going through an Applications course currently, and certain functions that I was able to use in a Window's version of Excel are not compatible for the Mac version. It can be frustrating to have certain features not be available for a different operating software while going through a course that is testing your fluency in an application. I have been able to figure out shortcuts, but I would love to see the same functionality across OPS.
It doesnt work for macOS Big Sur...
I down loaded my Microsoft 365 to my macAir and it wants confidential information stored on my keychain?? I know what a keychain is but don't know how to get this.
Collaborating with others can be distressing when your not on a good platform. Microsoft 365 should make collaborating with others with confidence.
Excel Is a phenomenal program... for Windows Users. For all of you Mac users out there however, it will be massively frustrating that you won't have access to all the bells and whistles that Windows users take for granted. You might be able to figure out workarounds to get excel for Mac to come close, but the workarounds will cost you a huge amount of time and effort... and pain watching all the windows folks basting past you like you are standing still. Even Google Sheets users will leave the Mac Excel girls and boys in the dust. Investigate before you buy!
I have used Excel in a whole variety of ways and the application always seems to have the answer for me. It's utility has grown by leaps since I first stared using it. It's my "go to" app for lots of things other than a matrix with calculations.
Update attempted several times...finally took.....one more failed attempt would have been a uninstall
