Absolute trash

These people think they can get away with such a trash app in this environment of strong competition. This app is so rarely ever works. The most inconvenient app for streaming....

It used to be a great app

Every time I try to log in, it says that I don’t have Cinemax in my cable package, which is a lie. I watch movies on all of Cinemax’s channels and On Demand on my television. I wish I could give you a -5 rating, MaxGo. 😡

Worse than’s that possible?!

Won’t let you connect through a streaming service like prime video or Hulu so it’s easier to use on Apple TV. Apparently Cinemax thinks you have to have a cable subscription to use their stuff. An entire app devoted to the Knick while a little extra r&d should have been devoted to this one!

Kinda good, kinda bad

Worst experience ever

Completely useless. Loads great. Sign in, great. Watch an episode or two of something, check. As soon as you leave and come back in a day or two, doesn’t work without completely removing and signing back in. Error on everything you try to watch - “ protocol message tag had invalid wire type”. What does that even mean? Invalid wire type like I’m plugged in somehow. No tech support feedback or help. Nada. Why pay monthly to watch their content and then can’t watch without jumping thru hoops?

Terrible Experience

One Suggestion, build a stand alone service (i.e. Cinemax Now) and build a apple TV app... The iOS app needs a laughable amount of improvements to be on par with other service like Netflix, HBO Now, Showtime and Starz.

The goat of entertainment

It has the most captivating movies that make it like a thrilling ride.

No casting

Get with the times...I pay for Cinemax through my provider and I still can’t stream? Garbage

Can’t cast unless you have an Apple TV. LAME!

Needed a title...

I saw a rating less than 2 stars and I expected such a messy app. I’m able to watch movies, exit, open other apps, force quit MaxGo, and it’s even got a banner at the top that’s saved my progress and i can restart the movie I was watching. You can tap the thumbnail to launch directly into the movie, or tap the title below the thumbnail to get the synopsis, cast, running time; you can preview or add to your watchlist. Video controls are about as simple as you can get. Play/pause, forward 10 seconds, back 10 seconds, closed captions, full/wide screen, and the airplay function I have not tested yet (review will be updated when I do).
