You need to get a handle on this and get the app back to the way it was. This is a bad newspaper reading experience. I would love to have someone from your organization contact me with questions. Hopefully you are curious enough.
This app doesn’t allow one to read the paper. The new on-line paper edition is not intuitive and makes it very difficult Sad. I do want to keep up with local news but the Statesman has made this very difficult.
I made the mistake of paying for a year-long subscription and I’m still inundated with ads. I won’t be renewing.
This might be great if you are looking for sports scores or syndicated content. If you are looking for local news, it’s near worthless. I was hoping the recent revamp would improve things but no.
Thought you would be able download and read paper like iPad app but no.
Every time I attempt to read an article presented by this app, a sales add for Austin American Statesman pops up covering the full screen, so I can’t read the article. Going on for months. I work and don’t have time to spend hours trying to get help from a sales rep. I have been a subscriber to AAS for 45 years. Never had such poor quality service. So I try to send and I need a nickname. Can’t find one that is not taken - even random letters. Fake!!! Richard
What a terrible app? Are you checking the reviews? How can you allow this terrible customer experience continue. Other subscriptions I pay for duplicate the actual paper. Fix this nightmare!
Scrolling through the headlines or through stories is infuriating. Your spot within the page jumps off the screen as you scroll into an area containing an ad. That ad loads in and the app snaps focus to make sure the ad is fully displayed at the expense of the user losing where they were reading. Ads cover the last few lines of every article. I have to scroll beyond the end of the page to pull those last few lines out from behind the ad. I will be going back to using the web-based ePaper version of the statesman because of these poor design choices.
This app is embarrassing. You are a good publication, you can do better than this. Please hire a firm that knows how to make apps.
Had the app for several months. It jumps into ads and gets annoying. I dumped it.
