Description

Make free calls with a real U.S.phone number on the original free calling and texting app. Pinger comes preloaded with free calling minutes that can be used to call anyone in the U.S., Canada, or Mexico. After that, minutes are free to earn or cheap to purchase. SMS messages are also free. On top of free calling and SMS, additional features include voicemail, group chat, MMS picture & video messaging, emoji, ringtones, and more. WHAT PEOPLE ARE SAYING “It’s like having a real phone number from the carrier. Except FREE.” –Nick “I started using this app back in 2007 on my iPod touch 3rd generation... Works every time, voice calls are clear, and no one knows it’s an app and not an actual phone. Highly recommended.” –Scott “I have used this app as my main phone number for years. It is just as reliable as an actual phone number.” –Kay “I’ve tried several, but hands down, Pinger is by far the best. Why? Simple: It works. Period.” –Tuc “I would rate this like 100,000,000 stars but can’t :/ only 5.” –Molly “Great to have a backup number especially when you travel abroad.” –Milo —— © 2020 Pinger, Inc. It’d be even nicer if somebody else didn’t have the same number as me! I’m constantly getting texts from people I do not know telling me that I texted them when I never did, im getting random phone calls, and I’m getting verification codes sent to me all the time!!

Can’t get back into my account

2
Have been using this app for 3 years and i use it more than my main phone number because of privacy. The number is attached to many apps I used and I have been unable to login to most of them cos they require a code be sent as a security measure. I was told my account is block and I can’t have access to it anymore. I travel alot and it just so unfair

Disappointment

1
I have had Pinger as my only source of a phone for years now. I’m not sure when but the quality just stopped being there. Whenever I call someone specifically using this app I basically have to yell with the mic pressed to my lips in order for them to quietly hear me. Using the texting feature for a profile activation code usually results in me not getting that text at all. A lot of the time I’ll get a call and when I go to answer it it’ll be too late by the time the app opens or it’ll just show I have a voicemail message despite answering the call as soon as I got the notification. I read a recent review of someone on here who had served in the armed forces who also noticed the decline of the app over the years instead of a consistent improvement. I found it interesting she lost her number BEFORE the 30 days as I have had a similar issue in the past. I was luckily able to find the customer service information to message someone about the issue and it was fixed, but it was one that shouldn’t have happened to begin with. For years I would diligently make sure to message or call before my number ran out. When Pinger is your only phone option that you use for people and businesses to contact you and suddenly your number is gone? That’s a problem. Especially when they tell you they don’t know why it happened and leave it up to being a user error. The call quality is never improved nor the app stability. Then the problems with having some days where I can’t even make a call on the app because it keeps failing to connect. The apology text was well and good but that doesn’t refund or make amends for the money being spent on premium to have the ability to make calls. I only pay the overpriced premium because of the mistake on Pinger’s part for losing my number before the 30 days. If anyone has read this far kudos, but you’d be better off finding another app. The quality and care to improve this app aren’t here anymore and the asking price for premium is honestly too high for the product they offer.
