Learning a language can be an experience that transforms your life. Over 25 years of language learning experience has taught Rosetta Stone one thing: everyone has the ability to learn to read, write, and speak a language with confidence. Try the Rosetta Stone app yourself for free. Many online language learning apps will promise that you can learn a language in just a few minutes a day. However, there is a significant difference between memorizing vocabulary lists and speaking a language with confidence. Learning a language is about more than just the words. One of the mistakes new language learners make is treating language as an object or an end goal instead of as an experience. Ditch the books, translator, and dictionary, and surround yourself with a language whenever, wherever with the Rosetta Stone mobile app. RECENT AWARDS • 2019 PCMag Editors’ Choice • 2019 Tabby Awards Winner • 2019 Best Mobile App Awards: Best Designed App and Best Overall App Rosetta Stone has taught millions of people new languages, and you’re next. The app is clunky and not fun to use. The pictures work great for vocabulary and pronunciation but in areas where grammar is stressed there is no explanation and no reasoning behind it. I feel like Rosetta Stone was a great way to learn languages ten years ago but it’s now antiquated by fun fluent apps that do a better job for free with the occasional add.
I had a lifetime subscription which they cancelled when they rolled out their new program and offered me a three month trial. I don’t know how they are still in business but I joined the class action lawsuit. Theives!
Your app is not picking up my headset very good, it is a expensive headset, Babbel picks it up a lot better, it’s irritating to have to say every word twice, and half the time it’s not picking up the pronunciation, I still like your app, but I’m seriously thinking about not renewing it.
Unable to reset progress. I go to the learn tab and try to choose a unit to restart however none of the units match what they’re supposed to be. For example when I select unit one “language basics” it takes me to unit 5 “travel” instead. There’s no way for me to start learning the language from the very beginning. Also, voice recognition is horrible. I’m saying the words correctly several times and it marks it wrong. Disappointing :/
The app is really great when it works, but I’m finding that the mic and or the speaker only work when they want to. Pretty hard to learn when you can’t hear or be heard. Hopefully they fix this soon or I’ll be getting a refund and finding another source to learn from. 🤷🏻♂️
I’ve had this app for a few months now. I am enjoying the learning process. My only complaint is about the app. For some reason it constantly flips/rotates on my iPad screen; even after I locked the screen. I’ve deleted and redownloaded this app. I’ve updated my iPad. I can’t seem to prevent this now. It’s distracting and frustrating! Rosetta Stone itself is great, I love the unique ways of learning and absorbing new languages. The short lessons are easy to make time for.
I have my iPad in the keyboard portfolio and the app has been opening upside down. I can get it to go right side up, but as soon as I’m done with a lesson, it flips upside down again. Really annoying.
Es muy práctico
Wanted to start picking up Spanish. I’m just getting started but am loving it and already learning a lot. Definitely going to upgrade to the unlimited language lifetime.
Overall, I think the app is helpful. What keeps it from 5 stars is the pronouns. Everything is pictures without English translation. This is helpful for nouns and verbs but not pronouns. So when you are working out I, you, him, her, they etc as well as formal vs nonformal, I have had to stop and google things because the pictures aren’t helpful. Other than that I like the program.
