So this app is great, and would be perfect. However, they left out the ability to rotate the video image. I can rotate it in zoom or obs, but Skype and others I’m stuck with an upside down image. It is nonsense. Elgato...you make the best streaming gear. How in the world could you miss such an basic and important feature? Unacceptable. 5 stars with it, 1 star without it as it is unusable for me as is. To add insult to the laziness, if you go to the elgato website and attempt to get support for this issue, there is no support option for this product. DO NOT BUY until they get it together.
This would be immensely improved in two ways: 1. Add a slider to control focus. This is my biggest complaint. They advertise manual focus in the paid version but it’s very basic. It’s more of an auto focus that locks where you want. 2. Add settings options to the software you install on your PC. Currently you have to physically interact with the phone's screen in order to change the cam settings. Very inconvenient if you’re using the phone’s rear camera. Bonus improvement. Make it utilize the phone’s dual camera for improved depth. Seems like a no brainer. Rated three stars for all the above reasons. But mostly for how faux the manual focus is.
Imma college student and this app has literally changed the way I do zoom lol
When do you anticipate this app functioning in those programs and in Big Sur in general? I bought this app for that purpose and it is useless until you fix the problem.
It does work, but it is more plug-and-pray than plug-and-play. The picture quality is good, and I do regularly use it with Zoom, Teams and other video apps. It was adding some flutter to my audio, so I broke down and bought a separate mic, which eliminated that problem. The most annoying thing is that the connection can be flaky, especially when connected via USB. It will just disconnect with no notice or reason during a video call. I can quickly reconnect, but it is mot conducive to hassle free meetings. WiFi connection is more reliable but still disconnects occasionally. I use it with an iPhone XR and a Windows 10 desktop, so plain vanilla setup This app gets the job done if you are willing to fool with it, but I would not rate it as a consumer grade solution. Good idea, but they should do more testing to make it robust.
I’m using this as a second webcam to stream on twitch, and the disruption to my stream asking me to rate and review (on my first time use, no less) was annoying enough for me to knock off a star.
It’s a great app and am glad I found it. But it’s not flawless. It crashes from time to time and it’s so irritating when you’re giving a talk in a zoom meeting. Please fix. Great app tho Update 9/22 Haven’t been able to use it in a week yet. Possible needs an update ? Update 10/31/2020 Wayyyyyy better. Sleek new update! Running on a Mac
You can't use the highest quality, there is a 7-10 second delay. What a waste of money.
At first this app seems like a godsend for anyone who is working from home or trying out streaming. However that is not true,Every useful feature is locked behind an eight dollar pay wall. All of these features should be available in the base app. There are no options to zoom out further than the set zoom, only zooming in. Which basically means that it is useless for streaming, I can’t sit far enough away for the camera to get me fully in frame and still be able to interact with my pc
I have to reinstall drivers every time I shut down my pc.
