This app is a great resource, but I have noticed that it has gotten much slower in the recent past. When I click on an event or swimmer, it ‘spins’ for a long time and uses a lot of battery. Also, the ‘heat place’ function doesn’t work. It is always the same number as the heat. If the swimmer is in heat 5, heat place reads 5 regardless of the actual placement in the heat.
As others have pointed out, this app is incredibly slow. It takes minutes to download the meets, the events, results under individuals, etc. Perhaps meet mobile doesn’t have the tech support it needs, because the app used to work great. I don’t recall when it started slowing down, but it’s very frustrating to say the least.
The App blocks you from any meaningful information until you pay pay pay.
Ridiculous that I got to a meet and have to pay to see the results.
We’re in our 5th year of swim club. We mostly use this app during swim meets for the meet time line, as well as the heat/lane assignments. I will say that the app doesn’t always update in real time. Which I’m sure is more on the people running the swim meets than meet mobile. When we were total noobies, we made the mistake of leaving a meet during a 3 hour break and going by what events were marked as completed. We ended up missing an event, which was horrifying. Luckily, the officials let our kid swim her next event and didn’t scratch her....it was a valuable lesson.
I would rate this app much higher but it is frustratingly slow. It really angers me that I pay for such a poor app but there really isn’t any other choice for meet results. The developers need to address the speed issue.
They won’t support app sharing requiring everyone in a family to pay.
The Apps search function is really lacking, maybe add a time frame... for instance upcoming meets this weekend in my area. Swim meets are typically early starts, and when I get results that include places no where near me and from a year ago it is not very helpful. Otherwise once the meet is found it is great!
I bought a he/she, cost me $13, there was no data in it. When I went and asked for a refund Apple told me they couldn’t use your refund I asked to meet mobile people they send me a canned response on how to ask for a refund that made it quite obvious Apple could give me a refund. When I spend my time to contact them directly they told me it was Apple‘s fault and then they quit responding. I would never buy anythingFrom these people again and I highly recommend that nobody else does as well if I could give them less than zero stars I would
I only need this app two months out of the year but recently they removed the option to manage my subscription from their menu. So now I can’t cancel my subscription and they didn’t automatically upgrade me to a yearly subscription after I paid them more than the value of it.
