Some interesting quirks like difficulty dragging text on pc but otherwise a flawless program imho.
It's all good, but it doesn't have a scribble option. That’s the main downfall.
I use OneNote on my computer without issues but on my phone it’s not as easy. I want to organize my list by dates and names, but I can’t.
I organize my business and my life with this program! Thank you to the people who made it!
Other note platforms like Google keep and Evernote update instantaneously. OneNote (the one you pay for) is crazy slow. Get it together Microsoft.
In my training for a new work related position I was introduced to the capabilities of OneNote. The power of OneNote was realized for me when I invested some time to learn about its features and functions by watching several YouTube how to videos. In practice, the effective use of Tags has been liberating. This program has helped me be a better leader/manager. Thank you OneNote.
Too much of a hassle to synchronize
I love OneNote, for personal, family, and work purposes. I was looking forward to using it on my ipad for work (we don’t have computers at all anymore). Turns out there is no basic way to view all tasks/to-do items in a single list. Instead, the expectation, I gather, is to scroll through every note looking for any tasks that may have been added. I hate evernote on ipad (lots of lost work when using apple pencil), but it handles to-do items a thousand times better than OneNote, so I’m giving it another try. Hope to check back soon and find the OneNote ipad app catch up to itself and it’s competitors.
I have been using this app for many years now for pretty much anything and everything— it has also been my journal for 5 years and got me through a devastating loss when my boyfriend passed away 5 years ago. The other day I realized many of my notes were not syncing and in an attempt to fix the issue I deleted the entire notebook from my iPhone with one click. I thought nothing of this because I assumed it could easily be restored. Apparently that was not the case. I am very upset that Microsoft office OneNote would not make it more difficult to delete a notebook if it is permanent and can’t ever be recovered again. I was in a hurry and just wanted to resolve the problem and all those years of my heart and soul and journey to recovery after loss are FOREVER LOST. Please Microsoft One Note Support: PLEASE FIX THIS FOR US. I don’t want to see someone else go through the pain and stress it causes to lose something so important. I had no idea that clicking that button meant I would never again get to recover my notebook. I thought it would be just like an app on the phone. Something that can be deleted and brought back to life to get rid of the glitches. ATTN MS ONE NOTE SUPPORT TEAM: If there is any way that you know how to recover this I would appreciate if you could reach out to me to walk me through the process. It would mean the world to me!
Many years ago as a birthday gift, my husband loaded all my recipes (100s of them), that I had stored in folders, into OneNote. It has changed my life. I can easily search based upon ingredients or key words that I have added such as “Family Favorite” or “Thanksgiving”. It is easy to add new recipes from books, magazines, websites. And, I can access my recipes wherever I am…traveling, in the grocery store, at a friends house, etc. from my phone, iPad or laptop. Best of all, I’ve freed up space in my kitchen that used to have boxes of recipes. I love OneNote. I use it every day.
