I'm normally not dense but I have not managed to complete the most basic task of picking a destination by tapping on the map and have the app give me a bike route from my current location – when I tap on the map, absolutely nothing happens, regardless of whether it's a viewpoint icon or any point on a road. I also don't like that there doesn't appear to be a free trial, and only subscriptions are available, no lifetime option.
We use this app all the time for convenience. I really wish there was a way to Filter OUT mountain biking trails. Even when I choose just Hiking for activities I still get a lot of trails that allow bikes. Another thing is add is a way to “Don’t show me this again” option. I search a lot and end up getting some of the same trails in multiple searches. It’s be nice to filter those out as well. Overall the trails we have followed have worked out well.
Everywhere we travel we check All Trails and find hikes that are suited to what we want to do that day- they all come with level of difficulty, elevation change and a MAP!!! So you can’t get lost- you just check the app to see where you are. We would never have found some really spectacular places without the help of this app. Thanks All Trails!
Still can't add a waypoint unless recording. On a long hike a person might want to mark waypoints without recording to save battery.
This app inaccurately shows trails through my and neighbors’ properties, yet there has never been public land or even managed trails. This leads to countless trespassers blindly following apps like this across private property, leaving trash, dog bags, and even defecating in my woods despite plenty of posted signs.
A perfect app for finding hikes near wherever you are! Having a gps tracked and trail line also is very comforting when covering new ground
Some if the marked trails are off when comes to distance. Big issue when mountain terrain is in play.
Is there anything the programmers can do to speed up loading when using downloaded maps? Like an ability to load more into cache for use on trail?
Why do you expect users to pay $30/yr for an app like this? You’re delusional. Charge $10 for the app and be done with it, the subscription craze is out of control. Nobody is going to opt to pay for an app every %#&$ month just so they can download hiking maps. Get a clue!
