Can you please stop worrying so much about me being able to screenshot my *OWN* photos and worry about why your photo parameters are so bizarre? Like how much do I need to edit a photo for it to fit in your tiny box? So strange... like why? No one else does this. Please fix it. It’s been like this for so long.
Even with the new format that has a banner that pops up while you scroll, the worst part is this once stable app now freezes and crashes all the time. It’s basically become useless.
Despite Scruff’s claim that this has been “fixed”, an invasive pop-up still gets thrown in your face every single time you scroll down a grid view (and still covers profiles that should be accessible, despite their recent claim otherwise), which is terrifically obnoxious to the point of actually being stressful as it makes it intermittently difficult to navigate the grid when it suddenly appears and blocks part of the screen from responding to your thumb. Hey, Scruff: you’re already bombarding non-“pro” members with piles of ads, and this incessant in-your-face pop-up is simply a step too far.
Honestly there are few apps that seem to work like Scruff and that have the positive vibe it has. I love this app—even if I only meet .5% of the dudes I chat with. It never seems a waste of time. Good vibes, good vibes.
I'm a trans woman and (while yes, I know I'm not the typical audience for this app) I joined Scruff but was not allowed to post a profile photo. I tried literally dozens of photos - some were so basic and generic I could use them for LinkedIn - but every single one was rejected for "failing to meet community standards" or something like this. I tried so many because at some point I was just fascinated by why it wasn't working. In the end, I think it was straight up exclusion. (Trans) women not allowed. Nice.
This is a top notch quality app. It’s well-thought and user friendly. The guys are definitely more reliable when meeting (and I use multiple apps). Customer service is responsive (and quickly). Profiles have freedom for more detail. The only change I’d make would be a face requirement and profile verification to weed out posers using fake pics. I never have issues with ridiculous cartoon ads for childish games. I never get spammed or scammed. Grindr needs to up their game. The only reason its more popular is because it’s been around longer but it’s absolute trash. Scruff is definitely worth the money but it’s still great as a free app. I’ve had it for many years and recommend over every competitor hands down.
For some reason scruff does not verify age before joining. Apparently you can lie about your age if you are under 18 and they let you in. Why!? That’s garbage!
Freezes sooooo much. I have an iPhone 12 Pro Max so it’s not my phone. Also i hate anytime someone unlocks an album for me it says locked upgrade to pro and you can’t go back on old messages because in order to do that u have to upgrade too. Annoying app but hot men haha
Many great features and always updating to keep improving quality of application
