App not working at all
If I have to watch commercials I’d like to know for how long!!
I’ve been using this app religiously on almost every platform but all of a sudden it’s stopped working on mobile. I haven’t had this problem before. Eventually after 10 minutes of waiting, turning my WiFi on and off, uninstalling and reinstalling and trying again, it just crashes. FIX THIS NOW!
Besides not having much that interests me besides The Handmaid’s Tale and Stephen King’s new Anthology series, the iOS app works pretty well on my phone. The Hulu apps on my Kindle and AT&T tablet are a different story. Why can’t you utilize the Full Screen? The picture is the same size as it is on my iPhone 7!!! That’s pretty pitiful! Please make fixing this problem a priority!
Could you make so that the status bar at the top of the showing The internet time and battery disappear when playing a video on full screen
This is by far the worst app I’ve ever used sometimes the sound plays and the video stops. All of the error and connection problem Hulu needs to be ashamed of themselves!!! And y’all have the audacity to be charging for this nonsense!!! Fed up
Perhaps I just don’t demand much from apps, but in general my Hulu experience has been positive. Like many, I was sorry to the Criterion Collection go, but the service is still satisfactory when it comes to appetite for anime. Speaking of which, my one issue with the playback is that my iPad clock and battery meter continue to display when a video is set to full screen. Tried searching for troubleshooting suggestions, none of which worked. Also, my YouTube and Netflix apps don’t have this issue, only Hulu. Hope the glitch can be fixed with the next update. 🙏🏼
I’ve had no issues with the app, but after the last update I thought I might be going nuts because I didn’t remember the clock/battery/WiFi bar staying up while the video was playing. I read some reviews and realized it’s not me, I’m not crazy. I really hope this gets fixed... it’s distracting an not aesthetically pleasing in any way, shape, or form.
1) find a show you want to continue watching 2)You are on a later season of the show, so you go to that season 3)You notice that for some reason all the episodes listed under that season are actually from season 1, instead of the later season you wanted, so you have to relaunch the app for it to work right 4) you start your show, having to watch 60-130 seconds of ads at parts of it, sometimes as many as 6 or 7 times (Amazon video and Netflix don’t have ads) 5) you accidentally rewind the video while trying to either pause or brush something off of the screen, because the UI is TERRIBLE. 6) Before you can fast forward to the part you want to see, you must watch another 90 seconds of ads 7) once it lets you fast forward, you still need to watch another set of the same 90 seconds of ads 8) finally it starts playing again 9) the video buffers, because for some reason it does that more than ANY other video streaming platform I have used 10) once it gets to the next set of ads in the video, after you watch them it randomly decides that you aren’t watching where you were when you left off before the adds, it thinks you are back at where you accidentally rewinded. 11) to fast forward again you must watch MORE ADS for some reason Fix your UI and the glitches Hulu, it is pathetic for a company of this size. I’m canceling my subscription and sticking with Netflix/amazon video, as I suggest anyone reading this does too. Would only be worth it if it was free, and even then idk. If I could rate it 0 stars I would. No wonder hulu is dying, and has to beg people to keep using it by offering free months to those who try to cancel. Listen to me. DONT USE HULU. There are better options out there. Thanks, An unsatisfied customer
The ads can randomly glitch and play multiple times, forcing you to watch 3-4 minutes of ads. Not to mention it can teleport your position back, forcing you to rewatch ads again. The ads are super repetitive as well which just makes it worse.
