Do not buy single issues from this app

They will not download, in spite of repeated canned responses from developer to “check status of memory.” You will be asked to pay (a second time) for the issue. Apple will not refund your payment, even though this and similar problems have been reported here numerous times in customer reviews.

Bought July 2023 Issue; Will Not Download; Being Asked to Buy Again

Purchased the July Magnificat; purchase was confirmed. Opened the app, tapped to download July issue; downloading circle started but never went further. Checked “status of memory page;” I am being asked to pay $1.99 again. I tried force-restart and delete-app/force-restart/reinstall to no avail. Very disappointing. I wrote the developer, but given the reviews here about the app breaking, I’m not very hopeful. A pity. Used to be a great app. App v. us.5.3.0.14; iPhone12; iOS v. 16.6

Error while login

Have not been able to log in on the app since the beginning of June :( I can log in on the website with no problem. I have a paid online subscription. I even tried deleting & reinstalling the app. It’s been about 2 weeks now. I reached out to Magnificat yesterday by email, waiting to hear back. I rely a lot on the Magnificat app for daily prayer as well as a worship aid for Mass. Very disappointing, hope to hear back from them soon to fix the issue!

Paid on App Store and can’t log in

I doubt this is a scam but terrible execution and a waste of money. I have a receipt from the App Store, so I know the transaction went through but I have no way to log in. I tried entering all my info and email and Magnificat says I have no account and offers no help. I even went to the website trying to work this out and still no way to log in. Fortunately I’m only out $1.99 because I thought I’d give it a test drive before plunging in with an annual subscription and now that’s not happening. LOL

Nothing is showing up

The last month or two it just shows a blank page for whatever section I select. I have tried the workarounds mentioned in others reviews but it doesn’t work. Guess I’m cancelling this app even though my subscription is good until October 2023. It’s not a huge financial loss but I can’t believe I can’t use it any more. It was a very useful tool during Mass forms but not any more. Hope they get it fixed for others.

Blank pages

In the a February edition, when I try to view any of the prayers that correspond to a date, the page is blank. So I cannot see any of the contents of this month’s edition. I wonder if this is related to the Apple software update (Using iPad). Other than that, it is a wonderful application!

Game Changer

I cannot express enough how much this publication means to me. Transformed my prayer life, and keeps me close to the Word each day gently translating what the Word means. Thank you Magnificat. I’m grateful.
