When I first started using Pages I loved it! After an update in 2018 on my iPad, it has become nearly impossible to find all of my folders and what is in each folder. It is incredibly frustrating and if I didn’t have so much information already stored I would delete it
I keep letters, articles I am writing etc and really enjoy it...easy to send to others either with a pdf or word format. Most times when I find something troubling...it is because I have not taken the time to really learn how to use it....smile!!
thank you for making all of my notes for all of my college classes literally disappear :)
There are some really good word processors for iPad, but for making finished print copy or PDFs, Pages is king as far as I’m concerned. It provides the greatest number of page layout and text structure options. Being able to add and edit text and paragraph styles, along with being able to control spacing before and after paragraphs is a big help to me. Google Docs and MS Word are impressive in their own respects, but neither of them allow that kind of control of the styles on iPad. To do the same, I have to switch to a laptop or desktop, which isn’t always possible. With Pages, I can do it all right from my iPad.
I just updated the app on my iPhone, and it now inexplicably opens only to Google Drive. I cannot access my Pages documents.
I’m forever shutting down and restarting my iPad when I use Pages because the app gets hung up. It happens at some point nearly every time I use it. What’s going on? This is seriously frustrating.
iPad users, rejoice, because this is a great app. iPhone users? No so much. There's no mobile view to enlarge text so it fits on your screen; the typing and reading experience includes endless right / left scrolling to see complete sentences and paragraphs. Word has had this feature for a years making Pages' lack of one is a glaring oversight.
I hate to say it but Microsoft Word is easier to use . Please Apple , quite being so protective of your programs. Make it easier for your loyal Apple customers ,to operate Pages .
Pages worked fairly well until the last update. Now it locks up all the time. I guess I will go back to using Word.
Elegant and graceful, it allows me to work on papers from all my devices. I wrote an entire safety assessment memo for a friend of mine on my phone for the earthquake drill in October. I wrote the entire procedure on my iPhone 7 and the wireless apple keyboard. I wrote it, grammatically checked on the Pages program, stylized and sealed it as a PDF. Now a department in Los Angeles city can use my safety brief and procedures to ensure safety to the public. University papers are easily accessible to me when I am away from my Mac, I wrote a six page essay while sitting near the Hollywood sign recently. Makes life easy, I look forward to writing everyday, and I am not a writer, by no means. Thank you apple.
