It’s a good app but when I do 3D it doesn’t show what it is besides a 747 for the C-5’s and C-17’s and turboprops Jets for the C-130. Same goes for the helicopters like a black hawk helicopter and the Apache helicopter. It just shows a regular helicopter instead of being a military helicopter
Too many pop up adds!
Plane finder used to be a great app. I would use it to keep track of friends coming into town . I went to use it this evening and have been barraged with 4 mandatory adverts for things of NO INTEREST to me and then an arm twisting demand for $19.95 a year to use the “full featured” version. No thanks your app is not worth that and will now be delegated from my phone.
I’ve been using the Plane finder app for a couple of years now, I have to say, it is a app that is worth it. Including the subscription, choose the $10 a year. Cheap and worth it, you get to see way more information about an aircraft that you thought would not be public, you can see the weather as well. 3D view is amazing, not every plane is correct on the 3D view option for example, if you are tracking an A340, in the 3D view it will be a A330, not every model is on the 3D view but it is somewhat very good. I would definitely recommend the subscription including downloading the app. Also to mention it is really real time, basically on the spot, amazing app to help with plane spotting to see what planes you are able to see. Also the customizations are amazing. Love the style of what you can choose. 10/10 app!
I give bad reviews to any app the pops up a request to review
Barely usable, full of ads and prompts to sign up for a subscription every few seconds and the button to close the prompt is very hard to see. Dark patterns at their finest
Hi. I’m. Dean. Khan. I’m. Giving. You. Your. 1. Good. Review
Ive been using Plane Finder, since my iPhone 5 - cherished it for years as THE supurb flight tracking app for travel and an aviation enthousiast…regretably that’s now over. Not only did I purchase the the premium Plane Finder App years ago, but also purchased Plane Finder 3D - to show my little sister, who passed away from Brain cancer, where Santa’s sleigh was one Christmas (in 3D). Thats 2 versions of Plane Finder I paid full price for…BOTH of which, launch only to tell me they no longer function and point me towards a THIRD Plane Finder app to buy via subscription. Dispicable business practice. Especially considering Plane Finder gets ALL the data it presents to you for FREE (ADS-B), and its widely and publically available for free. I was fine paying for my first 2 PF apps because they were reasonably priced and convenient to visualize ADS-B data on a phone. Alas, greed has ruined this once great and enjoyable app - a subscription model? For people that have already purchased your App twice-over, really?! P.S. - Not only are there free Apps that provide the exact data available in PF (without add harassment that makes YouTube look mild); but also provide more useful features for the Aviation Enthousiast. And SkyGlass is orders of magnitude ahead of Plane Finder while also conducting business with integrity.
i love it. i pay for it. i have big astronomy binoculars and i live due east of o'hare and love seeing the black of the engine intakes on a 787 rocketing its way to africa. you wanna see the colors of vertical stabilizers at 30k? 20x80s on a tripod. how many winglets have you seen recently? binoculars on a tripod. last week a different 787 make a turn right over my house at 20k feet right through the thinnest clouds. didnt need the binoculars for that one. i get that because of this app. its got filters, which lets me ignore single aisles. gotta be a big boy for me to get the binoculars out! one thing though.......id love a very dim red and black mode for when im stargazing :)
