I’ve been using this app for years. It has been extremely useful. But all of a sudden I’m not allowed to add more entries unless I pay because I have more than 100 cards loaded. I actually have 167 and never had an issue. Those were not the rules when I signed up.
I bought this when business cards rule, but now everything is digital. The few business cards I receive now are easy to enter. I’ve tried to cancel my subscription, but there is no cancel option in iCloud or elsewhere. Evil!
Had to edit almost every card I ordered. OCR constantly mistook t for i. Really struggled with colored cards. Unless you only want to scan basic white business cards, don’t bother. Asking for my money back!
Disappointing ap. Requires a lot of editing to be useful. Does not save me time. Cancellation is difficult too.
I’ve been using this app for several years only to discover today that they are now requiring $46.00 dollars a year. If you choose to use this app understand the developers have no problem changing their price.
Long time user with a significant investment of business cards inside the app, and now they won’t allow me to add additional cards without paying $48 a year.
It should not be this difficult to cancel an account
Great card scanner. It’s not perfect but the majority of the cards are scanned perfectly. I still proof each one before saving but overall I’m very happy. Just be sure to review their renewal/subscription fine print.
I’ve used this over the years to get random people into my contacts fairly quickly. It’s 80-90% accurate and saves a few minutes of manual labor. However, today I apparently reached 100 total business cards of scanning over the past 6 years or so, and now it will cost me $47.00 per year to continue using it. Sorry, good program, but for that rate I’ll spend a few minutes a month manually entering data. Too bad no “consumer” version of this with a purchase (not subscription) price of ten bucks or so, they could limit it to 15 cards a month and I’d be fine with this. Apparently they are also data mining, which is concerning but so typical. It is about 10 percent inaccurate, which is pretty good in my estimation considering all the different typefaces, lighting concerns, etc. One bummer is it requires you to use their camera app and it’s automatic- meaning they trigger the photo, not you. I’d rather import, including batch from my photo album, so I can be sure it’s not a blurry photo. At least give me control over the trigger! So it seems 100 total cards per lifetime is the maximum limit of before the $47.00 per year subscription is required. I’m just an average fool on a limited income without an expense account, so I’ll be deleting this and back to manually entering doctor details straight into my contacts. It’s a shame there’s no “stripped down” version for regular people using their technology but I understand the restraints of capitalism and needing “scarcity” to survive.
