Reviews

Great app but has paywalls

3
The only thing I have to complain about this app is I shouldn’t have to pay to be able to see my foods net carbs/ nutrients contents. This may prove difficult for people who may do keto or are on a very strict diet that may need to be as accurate as possible but simply might not be able to afford.

Not user friendly

1
Too confusing, not easy to navigate..

Downhill

2
Used to be super good for casually tracking weight loss. Now the ‘free’ version has been stripped bare with most features moved behind the paywall

Not as user friendly

2
Like Carb Manager more. Creating meals and recipes are more tedious in this app. Not as user friendly. I am constantly having to convert measurements. Not as many available in this app when tracking something. Also when creating a meal, it will not let me use the barcode. Ughhhh!!! Only reason I am using it is because this is the app my trainer is linked to with their app.

Just wanted to track my meals

1
I just wanted to track my meals, especially protein count for this app. Ask you all kind of stupid f**** questions.

Not paying for the basics!!!!

1
Seriously?! Paying for basic is ridiculous!!! Especially when it used to be free. Thanks for encouraging us by taking away convenience.

The end

1
I absolutely love (lol) that instead of taking feedback about the silliness of all the paywalling, devs are actually doubling down and making the app worse. A gigantic pop-up that literally cannot be closed before getting into the app is NOT the thing to do. Will be finding something else asap, MFP was good while it lasted.

Used to be Great

2
This app was great. It had lots of tools and foods that we all contributed to. I used it for years. Now they have made so many of the features, like the barcode scanner, subscription only. It is a disappointment.

Once useful, now a money grab

2
The ads and the regular solicitation to upgrade to the paid version were a nuisance, but there was some usefulness. Now, however, with the barcode scan requiring a $80/yr payment, this has become one of the less useful apps. Move on to other options.

So many issues

1
The app used to work great. Then premium was introduced and I had to pay for that to get certain features, so I did. Since then the app has had nothing but issues. I have had two phones and uninstalled the app and the app crashes and has other strange issues no matter what I try. Seems like each update makes it worse and it is incredibly frustrating to have to pay for an app that doesn’t work. I agree with all of the recent reviews on this one and don’t understand how it has gotten so bad.
