Too few free maps.
We ride the Hatfield McCoy trails in WV and KY, which has more trails than any system I’ve been to. This app is great for navigating tight and twisting offroad trails. Before this app, we used the paper map, which worked, but it was a 5 minute discussion about where we were and which way to go. I recommend this app to anyone we see in the trails or asks for directions.
Glad to have downloaded this app before a recent hike. I already knew the trails were very poorly marked but Maplets worked like a charm with its GPS voodoo. We covered a moderate 6 mile trail and Maplets kept us from getting crazy lost. I would give 10 stars but they won’t let me. Bravo.
This is still my favorite app when hiking and looking up places! To the developer; thanks for doing such a fantastic job! Please keep updating the app!!!
I love this app when I can find the map to download but often I can’t. Also, the software that locates maps isn’t great—so if you don’t input precisely the title that Maplets has assigned the map it won’t find it.
I have used Maplets for many years now and it is still my most useful and convenient app. Maplets continues to get better and better. While it does not lay down a track when hiking you can drop pins to trace your trail if you wish. Maplets is GPS enabled and Does pinpoint your location on the map. It also has a marker that shows direction of travel when on the trail , another useful feature. I have access to maps at anytime. Once downloaded i can use them without an internet connection.. Zaia is always updating their database to keep current. If you want Zaia to add a map you can contact them thru the app (or online) to make your request-if it is available they will add it. I have not had any issues with this app and use it several times each week. Love this app! Update: Have used 5 years now and Maplets is still my go-to app. Thank you Zaia for this great app and all your tireless work to keep it the best Map App out there. Update year 6: Everything I said in the past still stands! Best App for me-easy to use, shows info I need, works when I need it, updated regularly. Update 2020: still my favorite. The latest app update added the ability to create folders to organize your maps. Love this feature which makes finding maps much easier instead of scrolling thru the entire list to find the one you want 👍👍👍 Thank you Zaria:)))
Been using for a while and love this app. No need to hesitate, get the app you will not be sorry.
Been using this across many parks for many years. Really great. But now no longer being updated, so sad to see that maps are becoming slowly out of date. Will keep using until too dated, because the other apps are nothing like as good as this one
Love this app!!
I have found (and used) maps for everything from the small state park near my house to Yosemite. The app integrates these detailed, to scale maps with my iPhone's (and iPad's) GPS. It provides useful navigation where apple and google don't have useful maps, and where AT&T has no coverage. Love it! I do wish I could zoom in more when drawing on maps. (They are PDFs, after all.)
