There’s no reason for this terribly basic app to cost money. MFP does a better job of helping me meal plan
Nearly everything is manual. One of the only automated things is the default list of stores, none of which exist near me. I thought I could add any number of the various stores around me, but nothing is automated despite the description stating the app “supports multiple grocery stores” which I guess actually just means “you can type more than one line of text in this app!” I have to type the name of a store (no search), configure all of the aisles in the store, configure the prices of every item I might buy... I don’t get it. It feels like downloading Google Maps only to find out you have to enter all of the step-by-step directions yourself. I would have just casually gone our separate ways but I’m particularly upset that the developer charges a non-refundable $4 just to try this app. I could care less about the $4 honestly, but I highly recommend adding a free trial so others—who immediately realize that this doesn’t solve any substantive problems or pain points—are able to cancel without you pocketing their money. The bar is particularly high for pay-to-download apps, and this one doesn’t come close.
Really easy to use! I love that I can link websites to the recipe and planner. It makes it super simple to plan your meal and also the day you’re creating the meal, you have it all right here in one app and you don’t have to keep flipping through app and websites.
Love this app. I really do. So much practical functionality, making mundane life tasks more fun and so much easier. Takes a little effort up front but it pays off! One idea for improvement (unless I haven’t found it yet...) and I would like to credit my husband for this great idea... wouldn’t it be awesome if once you move something from your shopping list and put it in your cart, that you could also then add it to your pantry?
And LOVE this app for meal planning! I love that I can download new recipes to my phone and know what I need get when I go grocery shopping.
Love this app for the meal planning, shopping list and for saving recipes from anywhere on the internet.
I LOVE this app! You can import your recipes, add them to your calendar and it will even create a shopping list! Best part, all of my recipes are in one place when I’m ready to meal plan or cook! Well worth it!
I’ve been using this for about a week and it has been very easy to bring in my favorite recipes because most of the recipes I use are from online sources. It’s easy to adjust recipes for fewer servings. It’s easy to change my plan for the week/day. It’s been SO much easier to add things to the pantry than the Pantry App I was using before. It has been so customizable — Stores, Food Storage areas, Food items, recipes, and I can’t remember all the things that I’ve been able to make work for my unique situation. And there’s an update that has added even more features. I was looking at the app that had the Mac app but this one works so well that I can use it on my iPad with keyboard and don’t have to screw around with yet another app.
I love this app so much! I’ve had it for a number of years and it just keeps getting better. The recipe import is great, it supports importing from a ton of sites (or you can manually tag if you happen to find one that isn’t supported). You can email nicely formatted recipes to friends (or choose from a number of other ways to share). I plan each week of meals and then it generates a shopping list sorted by grocery aisle so I can be a super efficient shopper. And I just found the feature to scale a recipe up or down in number of portions - no more on-the-fly math for me. Oh, and it has cloud syncing and web access if you want it. Definitely recommend!
I love this app. Been using it for years. I do wish the icon color stayed orange. This may seem a trivial request but it seems like app icons are overrun with blue blue blue. I’m always clicking on the wrong icon by accident. It’s petty but oh so irritating. Please change it back to orange.
