5 stars but I can’t use vocal bc it’s not free
It’s better then google translate.
Without a doubt the best dictionary AND Spanish educational app. I’m a native English speaker, and I just spent a semester abroad in Ecuador. I lived with a Spanish speaking host family. My Spanish ability was up to a 300 college coursework level when I arrived (if you understand the United States and foreign language… this is not much). Myself and all of the students who lived abroad in the same program lived off of SpanishDict for our dictionary (we tacked it onto Anki for memorization permanency). This app sent me excelling into fluency. Honestly, I would take the lessons and quizzes Spanishdict offers over that other app, “Duo——“ any day of the week! What I used everyday: - offline dictionary ~ with examples and phrases - pre-made vocab quizzes - grammar drills - ESPECIALLY pronunciation for my accent TIP: pair this with Anki and you will be well on your way.
This is a perfect for someone who is learning Spanish. The daily words sent in the morning primes your mind to be in the language learning zone. Learning any language is all about vocabulary. Cinco stars for sure😉
I like this app because I can quickly look up a word on my phone & I really like how it gives examples of how to use words in a sentence. Easy translation
When trying to translate, the app just says searching and loads until app crashes
So for the most part, it does what it needs to do; there are formalities of conjugation and has formatting for translation, but words or phrases can have translations for other things, and that should be accounted for as well.
Even without a subscription (yes, I mean free of charge!), this is by far the best app/website for learning Spanish. Especially for those who already have a solid baseline. I’ve completed AP Spanish 4 in high school, 1 year of college, Rosetta Stone, Babbel, LingoPie… and I’m sure other… 😅, and never have I felt more confident in conversing in Spanish with natives, and I’m finally speaking in complete sentences; though I still have to work on my grammar. To be honest, I don’t think you ever stop working on grammar in Spanish! 😅 It is so tricky! It’s worth 3x the cost of a subscription, in my opinion. Thank you! I am so grateful for this app! 🙌🏾🙏🏾
Please make a app for Portuguese and for Korean also. I love my SpanishDict but I need them in other languages besides spanish. SpanishDict really helps me with my pronunciation
I’ve used this app for more than a decade and I loved it. Just a simple dictionary lookup that is quick, accurate, and worked super well. Now they finally disabled any functionality without internet. Now you have to pay a subscription. Flying in an airplane / in some remote location in Latin America / in an office building with no service and need to look up one important word? Sorry you’re out of luck. Too bad everything has to be monetized to squeeze every penny out of everyone these days. I recommend carrying a small dictionary or downloading a Spanish / English dictionary pdf onto your phone, which can be searched, now that the authors crippled the functionality of this once excellent app.
