Able to find help. The tech is not great. App and desktop don’t work well together and messages come in slowly.
Loved the outcomes and connections care.com provides but if you use a pay service they make it really hard and confusing to cancel. I thought I had cancelled twice and got charged. It’s on purpose, it’s probably legal, buts it crap.
Also, there is no horizontal view on IPad..should be an easy fix but makes it very difficult to use on an IPad.
This app is not very functional and is not easy to use. I have had many frustrations with it. If the developers were setting out to make an app that isn’t user friendly they definitely succeeded. 😂 I gave 3 stars because it is widely used (despite its limitations) and I have done a lot of babysitting through it.
I made a profile a year ago to look for childcare for a friend. In order to look for nanny’s you have to pay. My understanding was it was 155 a year, but I thought it was a smaller monthly bill, not all at once. The payment came out and I was frustrated, but I thought “whatever, my mistake, I’ll leave it alone.” Fast forward a little bit, we couldn’t find a nanny that worked with the schedule so I went through, deleted the app and the account and didn’t think of it again. Now, one full year later, my bank account has 155 dollars taken out by care.com AGAIN even though I have deleted my account. I tried to send a message online at the help center, in order to get help I need to “sign up or log in” and I tried to call the customer service number and agents are only available Monday - Friday from 10-6 😡 I’m extremely annoyed and very disappointed with this website. Will never be using again, and would not recommend to anyone else until they get better customer service hours and options. Super frustrating. ZERO STARS
Care.com is fine. The website is fine, the service is fine. But this is just about the buggiest app I’ve ever used. For example, booking backup care, try to change the address for in-home: click save, reports “must select one transportation option” (which is already selected). Uncheck something, recheck it, it lets me save. But the location isn’t saved. There are bugs in the messaging features, posting features, and the UX is terrible overall. It crashes randomly, many features don’t work at all. Surprised apple lets it on their App Store, to be honest.

I loaded this site & got multiple responses but am not able to contact them without “upgrading” my subscription. What a rip off
While the app may be free to download and you can post a job for free, you cannot reply to someone who reaches out to you for the job without paying a subscription fee. So this app only works if you pay for a membership. Very misleading. You should just state in the app description that you must pay for a membership and I never would have downloaded it and posted a job. This poor person that replied to my job will never know why I could not reply to her.
Been using this app for years! Easy and safe!
