This app is a must-have for anybody that travels the off-line mode is fantastic cover to cover on reading magazines & your favorite newspapers couldn’t live without it. Only downside is the automatic subscription and download is limited if you want additional titles you have to download them by hand on a daily basis.
This app is way too buggy. It keeps accusing me of making screenshots when I haven’t done so and when I try to share, comment or bookmark it a login screen comes up even though I’m already logged in thru my library and then it disappears and I still cannot do the functions. Magazine articles get cut off in the middle in the text mode possibly because the layout that mixes graphics and text throws the app off. The graphics prts gets disabled after a while due to me allegedly taking screenshots when I haven’t done so. At least my subscription thru the library is free but I wouldn’t recommend paying for any content on this app.
Occasional hiccups, but a wonderful offering by our library system! Thank you to the creators at PRESSREADER.
Thank you for fixing Press Reader battery drain issue on iPad Mini. Use to run down the battery in about 3 hours of Press Reader use. Now it drains at a normal rate. Actually just about every bug has been resolved. Now the latest revision is almost perfect. Please leave it as is. The old saying If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it would apply.
Why I need to use PressReader is a mystery to me. I use it to read the New York Times print edition. It works just fine but I think the New York Times should give me the ability to read their paper without a separate subscription to PressReader. Press reader doesn’t count as an NYT subscription so links from other news sources to a NYT article will not work
This app is not reader friendly. Too expensive.
Crashes constantly. Once you follow a selected magazine you can’t remove. Frustrated to navigate. I realize it’s free, but find it so useless, I stopped using.
Free access to newspapers with a library card 100% recommend.
Not useful if you want to save info
No Japanese language magazines whatsoever.
