Buggy as all get out

2
Very hard to used. Articles fail to sync and vanish, I have to keep recreating tags, and the UI is finicky and sometimes bugs out bad enough I have to kill the app and restart it. Good idea horrible execution. Shocked it has so many good reviews – maybe it’s the latest version, or maybe there just isn’t a better option. About the only thing I find worthwhile versus Safari’s reading list is tagging, so I can mark things as research, etc. Pocket’s recommendations sounds nice but this far it has never recommended something I actually want to read so… meh. Also, the Mac OS/X “save to pocket” applet for Safari no longer works (as of Ventura 13.1, anyhow). It hasn’t been updated in years, and doesn’t support M1 Macs. Look elsewhere… or just use Safari’s reading list.

Go to app..

…half a dozen times a day. Articles, recipes, you name it, the most useful app I own aside from gmail.

Full-text search is a false promise

Lots of things to like about Pocket. The ability to use multiple tags, highlighting, and your archived articles are backed up by by Pocket (paid version ) so if the link goes bad, you’ve still got it. Here’s what I don’t like. The search function is nearly useless. The free version will search your saved articles by title with about a 20% success. The full-text search (paid version) simply DOES NOT WORK and never has. Tech help is non-responsive.

The tool I use Everyday

5
During my morning scan of news etc sites I just save articles so I can get to them later. The audio function is good especially during commutes around town.

Asks you to sign up first🤢

1
Honestly i never tried the app because i despise the fact that you’re forced to sign up and enter your personal information to obtain a feature that many developers offer without any registration.

Needs a text-to-speech model upgrade

3
Otherwise, the app is GREAT to consolidate all my content for when I have time to read, listen and/or watch it.

Failure of capturing

2
I guess it is a beatufil idea to create an app like this. Nevertheless, it doesn’t capture the whole article. I have only the first paragraphs. I am not sure if there is anybody who also experienced this problem before, but I have to say it is annoying because I have to highlight the last part of the article, so please inform me!

Love Pocket

5
Pocket is the best as early in the day I can choose what I want to read and come back to it whenever I want that day or a week later occasionally. Great service which I use every day! Thank you!

Won’t load any recommendations

Images not loading

3
I don’t know whether it’s a bug from a recent update but on previous versions of the app, I was able to images that were in the original article in Pocket. All I get now is text and the banner image
